The agent supposedly made the remarks in a radio interview while in Spain so I think it is fairly certain that he said them. The question is whether the remarks are reflective of what Vidic wants or whether it is a ploy to try and get a better contract from United.

I don't have any doubt that Pep would love to have Vidic on the team. It won't happen this year but it wouldn't surprise me to see Vidic in Barcelona in 2010/2011.

My concern is that it may have started from the Spanish press themselves. Like they claimed the agent said that in a radio interview and blahblahblah when nothing of the sort happened. The Spanish press are very good at that. I wonder why didn't anyone sue them yet.

EDIT:

My suspicions could be correct.

I saw the denial a few minutes ago and came to edit my post but you had already beaten me to it. If the agent did make that comment to the station then I would assume that they recorded it. If the station doesn't come forward then I would certainly say you called it correctly. However, I would still be surprised if Barca didn't make an offer for Vidic at some point.

With Real's buying spree it was clear that the Dutch contingent would be leaving, I am surprised that it took as long for them to move as it did. I think Robben is a good pick up for Bayern who from what i saw in the CL didn't seem to have much offense outside of Ribery.

FIFA has banned Chelsea from participating in the transfer market until 2011 after being found guilty of persuading the now 18-year-old Gael Kakuta to breach his contract with Lens in 2007.

Kakuta is also banned from playing for four months.

It looks like the Kakuta case is just the beginning. According to Sky Sports News, City will now be face an investigation by FIFA over their conduct in the signing of Jeremy Helan from Rennes:

From the Man Utd article,
The controversy over Manchester United's signing of the 16-year-old French midfielder Paul Pogba has taken a fresh twist, amid claims that the player's parents were given €100,000 (£87,000) each, and a house, to bring him to Old Trafford.
Sadly, this is not unusual, and has been happening at least since the 1990s when Tottenham Hotspur managed to lure Paul Gascoigne into signing for them instead of Man Utd by buying a house for the man's family.

Another compliant over a United signing. Fiorentina have complained to FIFA over United's signing of 16-year-old defender Michele Fornasier. United apparently exploited an Italian Federation rule that prohibits Italian clubs from signing minors to contracts that tie them to a club. Sounds like Fiorentina don't have much of a case legally.
