Well being a 過來人 I can understand the extreme frustrations of working overtime, taking a whole apple-load of responsibilities (and blame when things go wrong), then getting paid less and without any benefits compared to people who had much less education working on the SAME project in the SAME workplace.

So I quit and switched career.

If I had to choose between high IQ or a large set of testicles, I would pick B every single time. People with high IQs tend to over-think things - wrongly. People with balls are unstoppable, unless you kill them (at which point they wouldn't care anyways). So yeah, B for BALLS.

This is a baseless claim, something I strongly disagree with you. I would say the top 5% of the population are pretty intelligent. Some of them may not make a lot of money or even rich but they are not stupid. I would say at least 50% of the world population are pretty stupid.

Anyways, your friend may very well be in the top 2% in intelligence, certainly someone has to be in there. But that does not mean that he is right every time he argues with you or that he is always the smartest out of any given group he is in. So why care or brag?

If you are able to be in the room with all the genius people, then you should be happy because it's better to be the dumbest and poorest among the geniuses and millionaires/billionaires than being the smartest and richest among the ghettos.

I remember in highschool we had to write an essay on that very quote while relating it to Ayn Rand's "Fountainhead". Apparently everyone agreed that it was better to be in an idealistic place like heaven, and be a genius like Howard Roark even if it meant less personal success compared to Peter Keating.

I was the only one who was like umm yeah give me the money and the women, I'll happily rule hell . He read my essay to everyone in class, and excused me from essays for the rest of the year for being brave [or scummy] enough to admit it. That was the highlight of my English/writing skills...all downhill from there!
