I think that just thinking of peak is inadequate.
I read/participate a lot in baseball and basketball HOF discussions.
One of the perennial discussion was the value of prime and also career- longevity plays a huge role in deciding the value of a person.
The same should be the case in the case of debating the primacy of the various martial artists.

Think of what a peak is.
Is it as high as exists? No, there's still a sky above the peak.
But the peak is as high as you'll ever go unless you can fly.

In MMA you use peak to describe the time in a fighter's career where he's performing best. Has an optimal balancing of skill experience and conditioning while still being young.
Which is bad for Wuxia because fighters don't seem to get weaker as they get older.
