Jang Geuk Suk will act as a gifted composer and pianist Hwang Tae Kweong. He is a vain, hypochondriac control freak who has several allergies, night blindness and insomnia. He soon discovers Mi-nyeo's secret and intends to kick her out. But upon knowing her quest to become famous in order search for her mother, he softens and in time, helps her in many situations, even to the point of dating Yu Hee-Yi who threatens to announce the secret. Through Mi-nyeo, he changed into someone who laughed more often and cares about others' plight more.
In my opinion, this is his best role so far and he got the girl this time.

Park Shin Hye acts as a pair of twin brother Ko Mi-nam (pretty boy) and sister Ko Mi-nyeo (pretty woman). Mi-nam who is seriously injured is hospitalized in America. To secure his hard-earned position in the boy band A.N.Jell, nun-to-be Mi-nyeo takes his place till his return. Mi nyeo is very careless and tends to end up in the most ridiculous of situations. Her misgivings gets on the nerves of Hwang Tar Kyeong at first, but her kind heart and innocence makes others want to protect her. She will develop romantic feelings for Jang Geuk Suk's character Hwang Tae-Kyeong.

Jeong Yong-Hwa will act as the second lead (Kang Shin-woo) who will never get the girl, but earn lots of support for his gentleness and good looks. He discovers Mi-nyeo's secret early but keeps to himself. He's always there to help her despite her not knowing. His efforts to confess are often thwarted by Hwang Tae Kyeong's unknowing interventions.

FT Island's Lee Hong Ki acts as the comic relief Jeremi. He's always there to brighten up the scene for anyone. He dislikes Mi-nyeo at first, but grows to like 'him' and eventually falls for her. But, he too will not get the girl. Very little character development for Lee Hong Ki, but he carries the role well and everyone would like this character.

UEE is the two-faced superficial Yu Hee-Yi who develops feelings for Hwang Tae Kyeong. She uses the secret to push Tae Kyeong into a relationship she hopes will become real someday. But the righteous Tae Kyeong could not fall for such a superficial personality throughout and Hee Yi is heartbroken as she never has the courage to tell Tae Kyeong she truly likes him.

I actually read JonDoe's review long long time ago, but did not take note of the show since it wasn't highly recommended. Now, I realized it's the same show, and felt relieved that I have watched it somehow coz it's really a bright and unique.

u're welcome. I luvs this series too. I didn't follow it when it's running on the tv and people got hype about this and i wonder why. So after it all completed/finished then i just started to watch it and got hooked ^-^ now i know why people so crazy and hype about it eventho the rating wasn't good. And made me ended up by buying the original box set

I didn't follow the release of this show at all. But when I saw the DVD cover, the star quality caught my eye. I had second thoughts about buying it coz I was so over the girl-crossover-as-guy plot. It was put up on clearance sale, so I gave it a go and definitely luvs it!

What is ironic is that just straight after i finished the show, CN Blue came to my country Singapore last week, and I just found out that Yong Hwa was part of CN Blue which is quite a pleasant coincidence.

It seemed CN Blue has lots of guy fans as well. Explains a lot about their music. They're also very professional in their interaction with the fans, like all other Korean celebrities.

I remember the first time watching this and finding Go Mi Nyu (as Go Mi Nam) a bit annoying because she's so clueless after a while. But the 2nd time around, I find her clumsy, but not dislikeable. I can see why the guys like her.

Go Mi Nam is a lovable girl. At first, I found her naivete annoying too and thought she's not good enough for HTK who pursues perfection in everything. Her personality complements TK's well in that they're opposite ends of the pole. But even at the end, I feel she's still not good enough for him. I agree they're a cute couple and I rooted all along for them, but her simple-mindedness is still annoying. Purity and innocence I can accept, but not ingenious absent-mindedness. Her redemptions are her kindness and her love for TK.

Maybe I'm nitpicking, but I find 'Go Mi Nam's singing not that great. They should at least dubb her singing to show she's selected by TK because 'he' is an incredible singer.

I actually really really like this series! I was blown away at how emotional this series can be sometimes. I wasn't much of a Korean dramas person at the time when I watched this too. (Now I am though) I scored pretty bad on tests and quizs because of this series actually. lol
