He said the blood test would interfere with his training.
I think that's fair, he agreed to do it after the fight.
You could put it that Mayweather is the one being difficult demanding specialised testing.

Sure he said that but theres no proof that taking a blood test will make a boxer weaker. Instead im pretty sure their excuse the first time around was that Arum said pacman was scared of needles. Cmon thats complete BS.

Sure Mayweather is playing mind games but pacman walking away from $40M and denying all hardcore and other fans of one of the great fights in this decade just bc of a few lousy blood test just seems utter crap. sorry but its true.

Just to be fair, mayweather is also an *** for asking these tests but pacman more at fault here.

If he's happy to take the test after the fight. I don't see the problem. Pacman isn't the one going around makeing a bunch of demands to stall things, like demanding 60-40 etc.

Pacman is walking away from potentially $40M here with $25M guranteed and forecast 4M PPV.. ie the richest bout ever. Thats an effin alot of money here for a guy who grew up soooooo poor. He is only really just started to make some big money in the last few yrs.

And instead he fight Clottery? Im not much or hardly much a boxing fan but who is he? All i know is he lost his last fight which is never good going into your next fight. Pacman will win and it wont be close either.

Now Mayweather is fighting Sugar Mosely who is old (38yrs) but he still regarded very highly. Ranked #3 in Yahoo.

All im saying is both are at fault but pacman abit more. Thats all!!!

btw the fight betweem them is 50-50 split.

First of all you have to take a good look at the facts.

Pac never said he wouldn't take the tests, he said he doesnt want a random blood testing because a random test might occur too close to the fight and Pac believes he would feel weak if he takes off blood very close to the fight.

Pac was also on record saying after his first Morales bout(which he lost) that he felt weak during the fight because blood was taken the day before.

I really don't think there's a problem with Pac taking the random test if the Nevada commission requires boxers to take such tests. Just because Floyd asks for it doesn't mean Pac has to bend over to all his demands.

Pac was willing to go down to take a test 24 days before the fight and immediately after the fight, Floyd rejected this offer. If he was hiding something, why would he even take a test at all?

If you really believe Pac is onto something and not Mayweather chickening out of the fight then I just don't know what you are smoking. Anyway its all opinions anyway, its like an anus, everybody got one.

just to add to what everyone else is saying..don't listen to all that b.s. spewing out of mayweather's camp. Pacquaio DID NOT turn down blood testing. He agreed to have it up until 24 days from what i remember and directly after the fight. You cannot get steriods out of your system within those 24 days...so it should not matter if he takes the test @ 14 days as proposed by mayweather or directly after the fight. Mayweather did not want 2 fight plain and simple...and douche is making excuses.....honestly pacquiao does not need him 2 sell ppvs...so on 2 the next one.

Oh, and mayweather is not the nevada state commission...and they are FAR FROM EXPERTS IN DOPING....so who the fack is he 2 be making these demands? Nevada has its own testing procedures and unlike the early 2000's...they're actually able 2 test for these ped's....and if u actually believe the shite coming out of mayweather's camp...apparently pacquiao is on some super Filipino drugs that make "bullets bounce off your a$$"...LMFAO and that's a direct quote by the way from mayweather senior and his camp of crazies....absolute joke....

the situation with goldenboy siding with mayweather is all politics...go do some research and check out how defensive schauffer was getting when zab demanded moesly(who'es promoted by goldent boy) take blood test before their fight fell apart.....and fyi...moesly is a guy who by his own admission took steriods...and now the tool flips around his own words and makes all these ourtrageous demands to pacuqiao whose passed every random drug test he has ever taken...

forgot to mention...to milkboi...from the way you talk about clottey it's pretty obvious you don't watch boxing.....his last "loss" was to cotto, who was arguably the number 2 welterweight in the world at the time of the fight. Not only that it was a controversial decision and alot of people believed that it was either a draw or clottey won. If not for a flash knockdown, clottey would have wont that fight hands down. His other losses were to Margarito aka Margacheato...and he was destroying margarito for the first half of the fight before he broke both his hands. This happened when your boy pbf and everyone else was ducking margarito like the plague....and he has a dq loss to calos baldomir ..i think he lowblowed him...but again he was killin him and would have won if it went 2 the cards...

furthermore, the reason that shane moesly is so highly regarded atm moment is because he destroyed margarito when everyone thought he would lose...and like I mentioned before clottey was givin margarito a pretty bad whupping before he hurt his hands. Before that fight moesly had a bunch of lackluster performances.....and no one knows which moesly will show up vs mayweather. Trying to play moesly off as superior competition to clottey is a pretty weaksauce argument. Moesly lost to cotto who had an all out war with clottey....so imo it's not clear cut who the better fighter is...

I don't understand the reasoning I'm seeing on here....if Mayweather agreed to take the same test he's asking Pacquiao to take, then all things were equal right? Is Pacquiao's blood more precious to his body than Mayweathers? Pacquiao was a good fighter for years then with no change in his fighting style - but an obvious addition in strength and knockout power became the pound for pound king.....any other fighter made this kind of improvement as they got older in the history of boxing??? He's on the juice. Period.

The way its played out, it just seems that he has sth to hide. I mean he barely won against that mexican dude Marquez. And they fought twice with each time the winner could of been anyone. And now he can knock out Cotto? Like i said, all im saying is there has to be more to it than just a simple blood test. I mean 24 days or 15days blood taken from him prior to the fight will make him weak? You must be joking. And walk away the richest bout ever.
Cmon use some common sense people.

I'm glad the Mayweather and Pacquiao fight didn't happen. Now Mayweather can fight Mosely. And Mosely ain't getting any younger.

By 14 days pac is doing heavy sparring so yes it will affect him.....by 7 days he's tapering off training. If you don't think that it'll affect him go get a needle and then find a boxing gym and go through a couple round of circuit training and see how long you'll last...and i'll ask you again why does it matter if he's willing to take the test at 24 days and DIRECTLY AFTER THE FIGHT. If he has PED's in his system he will be caught..anyways. You keep asking why pac is willing to turn away all that money..why doesn't mayweather just fight him? If he's on PED's than they will be tested for and caught. And again..Nevada has tested pacquiao on numerous occasions and he's passed EVERY single test....

You keep talking as if you have some proof or that its obvious that pac's on something when the you have absolutely nothing. On the other hand if you want to talk about using drugs....do you know why mayweather insists on fighting in vegas? He gets a shot that numbs his hands before all his fights. The stuff is banned by every other major boxing commission with the exception of nevada....and that's on record. So why don't you talk about the stuff that we know instead of speculating on stuff that wasn't even an issue before Mayweather Sr. started spewing this bs.

I mean he barely won against that mexican dude Marquez
Because styles makes fights...because....pac is naturally bigger than marquez and marquez had the advantage at the lighter weight classes due to the weight cut. At 140-147 the weight pac fought cotto at....marquez would be ktfo. FYI, pacquiao almost Ko'd marquez in both their fights. In their first fight Pacquiao knocked marquez down three times in the first round...he was giving him quite the beatdown before marquez figured out his timing. Also, the first draw should have been a win for pacquaio both one judge mistakenly scored one round the wrong way.

Period.
Not really. They are already being tested by the commission...and like i mentioned before pacquiao agreed to the extra testing as well. It's the timing that mayweather is using as an excuse.

Regarding your second question pacuiao has improved tremendously compared to his old days. Go watch some of his earlier fights even in mid 2000's....all he used to have was that straight left and his footwork is no where near as good as it is today. Plus he did not have the diet or strength conditioning coach he has had the last three years working with ariza. You talk as if he had these gains over night when he's been packing on weight slowly over a three year period.

I don't understand how some people can't see through Mayweather's intentions. Sure its just some test, but would you ever let a person of your equal or below you dictate what you have to do? Its something called Dignity, low lifes like Floyd wouldn't know what it means.

Floyd Mayweather was the PFP king in boxing when PacMan wasn't even popular enough to be on his undercard. Thank god for Steroids, I guess. As far as dignity, what was stopping him from making demands of his own? The only loss of dignity came when he refused to do what his opponent agreed to do. Floyd wanted the fight. Just not enough to give some juicer an unfair advantage -- I don't blame him.

Floyd never wanted the fight period. Just look at how many times the guy disses Pac in interviews, nothing but jealousy. He almost didn't sign the fight against Mosley delaying until the very last minute, he was pushed around and had no other choice than to sign or forever be called a ducker. You keep on saying juice, what's your basis? Weight? It has been proven already that Pac didn't gain that much weight since fighting from 125 lbs up to welterweight, in fact his in-ring weight everytime he fought was at 140s only moving up a little bit each time. Keep on hating dude, your boy PBF got nothing on Pacman.

Pac did make his own demands. They were test at 24 days before fight and before he went into hard training sparring and a day after the fight to prove that he was not on steroids. That way he does not interfere with his training and still prove that he's not on PED's. Mayweather rejected this. Also FYI, mayweather's camp do not believe pacquiao is on steriods...he's apparently on "a-side meth" some magical Filipino drug that makes you invulnerable to bullets and mysteriously it can only be detected by blood test 14 days before a fight.

The p4p title means nothing if you don't fight the best. Look at Mayweather's track record the last 5 years and then look at pacquiaos. Look at the type of competition they fought and tell me who is the better fighter. Mayweather has been known to duck fighters in order to keep his record untarnished...he goes as far as taking less money, fighting smaller guys and heavy underdogs to keep that perfect record...while pacquiao consistently goes against the top level fighters at each weight class he fights in. Mayweather received the p4p title after RJJ got Ko'd by tarver...mayweather had the skills, speed and brains to take the title but since then he has repeatedly ducked top level competition. He's best days were actually in early 2000 when he fought @ superfeather weight/lightweight and dismantled Castillo and Corrales in their primes (although most people believe that Castillo was screwed in their first fight). He has been in the welterweight division for 5 years and Moesly is the first top tier welterweight he will fight at the weight class. His only other top welterweight was Judah who is physically very talented but unintelligent fighter...furthermore the only two top welterweights that Judah fought defeated him (cotto, clottey and obviously mayweather).

How can you call yourself the p4p best fighter when the you have been in a division for 5 years and still have not even fought any of the top guys (cotto, margarito, clottey, moesly, williams, berto) even when they are repeatedly calling you out and confront you face to face. Instead mayweather took easy fights with baldomir, delahoya, hatton, mitchell and marquez (this one was a testament on how low mayweather had sunk).

And here's the thing...imo floyd is probably the more talented fighter with his brains, speed and slick counter punching. But again and again he's proven that he's scared to go against the best fighters. He realizes that he's making all this money because people do not like him and want to see him lose...as soon as he gets that first L, his marketability will take a hit...pacquiao on the other hand has fought the top dog or the guy near the top in each division he's fought at. And it's not like mayweather would not win against those guys....he would be a favorite against any one @147...but the guy runs at the first sight of danger....

anywho, go to any boxing website and look who they have as fighter of the decade....there is a reason pacuqiao was the unanimous choice..and I do not believe it's based on physical talents as mayweather is at the very least equally as talented...it's based on who they've fought and mayweather has been ducking top guys since 2003.

I do believe that this fight will happen because mayweather wants that huge payday and pacuqiao is an easier opponent than williams and berto assuming he gets past moesly.

Mosley is a tougher backup fight than the one PacMan took, that's for sure. Who's he fighting again, Sean O'Grady? PacMan is on the juice, anyone who's ever done any bodybuilding or serious competition suspects it. It he scratched himself with his fingernail that buster would probably bleed to death in 30 seconds. Floyd will make PacMan swing at air for an hour and fall on his backside for another 30 minutes. He's never been phased by wild punchers, boxing is the sweet science, not an MMA brawl, and PBF has time and time again shown himself to be the sports Albert Einstein. as for Pacman?

@Kchill: Like I said you keep saying he's a juicer, well where are your facts? You want me to believe Pac is using PEDs without proof just because Mayweather believes so? That is BS! Before Mosley-Berto was cancelled Pac already signed up with Joshua Clottey a legitimate welterweight contender otherwise Pac would've fought Shane. If you really believe it is so easy for Floyd to beat Pac, why then does he need to level the battlefield with all his ridiculous demands? If he is so good he could beat Pac with or without steroids period. Oh if you don't know who Joshua Clottey is then Im pretty sure you're not a real boxing fan. Boxing doesn't revolve around Floyd or Pac alone.

Am I? I know Mosley is better than Clottey that is a fact. Do you know what Mosley is saying about Floyd right now? Floyd was forced to fight him. I'll stop here, a blind fanboy like you wouldn't know the difference of the opposition Pac and Mayweather faced throughout their careers. Its actually good Floyd is facing Mosley on May because I want to watch that fight, for the first time in so many years Floyd is fighting somebody who has a chance of beating him.
