Is anyone going this year? Is it even worth getting trampled over some cheap goods? BF might not even have the best sales...it's just incredibly overhyped. I went last year and only got 3 items. I swore to myself that I would not wake up in the middle of the night for this one crazy overrated day again.
And yet this year I'm thinking of going to the outlets.

I never gone on those shopping days. I just go shopping normally and find deals.Because I'm somewhere in between,

People do crazy things like standing in line all night in front of a Bestbuy or whatever. Or Go shopping at 4-6am. That's crazy. I just go around 10am and see whatever scrap I can find, but at least I have my own list. I've nevered really liked this day, I just go in, buy what I need, and go out.

i went one year to fry's at 2am...and the line already wrapped around the building. some people even brought their mahjong tables out and a fight started to break out around 6am at the front of the line (store doesn't even open till like 7 or 8)
i think it comes down to what you want to buy. if there is something you REALLY(x50) want, then maybe. and make sure to bring a table, chairs, a grill, and maybe a tent.
though, i know some people who go just for the thrill...

Didn't someone die last year at Walmart because the person got trampled upon? It's a scary situation, with that many people around.

Oh gosh, I really hate black friday shopping. My brothers always go but they hardly ever get anything since they go too late. People are really violent and aggressive. It is great to get a good deal, but I don't think it is worth it to risk your safety and other's safety just to save some money....
Respect other people's opinions and views. If we learn how to do that than all of these fights and arguments will not occur.

That's nothing. One of my students went shopping for a computer monitor on Black Friday. He got his monitor, but he also got a black eye and a ripped shirt.

That's just ridiculous.
I can totally understand getting hit and having your clothes destroyed under certain circumstances, but shopping is not one of them.Because I'm somewhere in between,

i went to a few black friday shopping and its nothing like what u guys mentioned :O i lined up at 6, store opened at 7:45, and i got my stuff for a big discount

I like the sales, but not the commotion. So I found a nice store that has lots of goodies minus the heavy traffic, which is perfect. I go there every year to do my Black Friday shopping. I've gotten several goodies including 2 HDTVs - 1 for my mom & 1 for myself .

It's still cheap compared to regular sales price, and you can usually get the deals late into the morning, as opposed to waiting in the cold at 4 am outside Best Buy. Originally Posted by LuNaR
