Most games last more than 8 hours not even counting replays so the cost really needs to be amortized over a long period. Bungie jumping probably involves minutes of entertainment at best although I suppose the anticipation while waiting in line might add to that...

Gaming is probably one of the cheapest form of entertainment. I hardly spent any money on games, and they've stolen so much of my time. You can play the same game over and over as you strive to accomplish different goals.
