I really can't tell what it is from the 3 pictures of the 3 big guys.

Chinese Santa Claus? Fu Lu Shou?
What can I say? I'm still standing! No weapon against me shall prosper! I am more than a conqueror!!!

I don't care to sit by the window on an airplane. If I can't control it, why look?

    It's only been two days...

Members who've seen the three emperors may not be familiar with the specific novel your clues point to. How about leaving the answer unanswered for a few more days.

I'm dying to read that novel... since I don't recognize the references... I know it's one of the ones I haven't read. LOL

Wooden sword refers to the stage YG failed to reach, developed by con artist DGQB.

Harem refers to the quarters XLN failed to keep forbidden to men, set up by a bitter LCY who can't handle being rejected.

Maybe I should post this in the anti-glorification thread for Ken's amusement.

Oh Wooden sword + Harem = ROCH Q.E.D.

    Sorry guys....

It's neither "ROCH" nor "Book & Sword".
    Try non-"Jin Yong".

I was thinking The Deer and the Cauldron, but that's Jin Yong.
Hm... The Sword and the Exquisitness? Who used a wooden sword?

guys, take a careful look at the hilt !! with that highly suggestive shape, the chances are mighty high that the sword is a holy artifact of the all-girls Ancient Tomb Sext that has been used and passed down by the bytches of the Sext for generations starting from Lcy and ending with the yellow dressed bytch ~~> 2 novels here: Shen Diao Xia Lv & Yi Tian Tu long Ji !!

    All pics.
This is about GL's Ye Kai and Ding LL.

I suspect the novel would be bordertown, although Flying eagle could be ok as well.

Yep. Eagles Flying in the Ninth Month. Didn't that evil girl who was pretending to be crazy carry around a baby doll?

I don't see how it's an odd shape. But now that you mention it, it is thin. Meaning it would be a good size for a women to grip. I'm guessing the general idea here was the fact that the sword was wooden, not that it was small.

    Exactly....

I was looking for a picture of a wooden sword and happened to find the one I posted.

So far.... the guesses have been incorrect.... though Guo Xiang ( : is right in looking for a user of the wooden sword. The accompanying word "Harem" is significant too.... though not precise since it's difficult to do with a single word.

BTW.... I wasn't joking when I hinted that the wuxia novel is non-JY.

How about a hint? Is it a Gu Long or Liang Yusheng novel?

I think specifying author other than non-JY may be too specific a hint.
Let's just say that I read the book from SPCNET translation.

Ok, here's mine. Pardon me for my poor art:
