The U.S. SHOULD stop eating beef...the day the cows flirt with the word "endangered". "In danger" of growth hormone doesn't count.

You guys should stop eating beef.

With that, there would be less cow,

and therefore, less cow fart --> less methane production --> less global warming.

    Therefore, world saved!!!

These sharks are hunted only for their fins. The amputated sharks are usually thrown back into the sea and left to die from hemorrhage. They cannot survive because without fins they cannot swim and hunt for food. Most animals that are bred for their meat yield more meat in comparison to the shark and they are treated in a more humanely manner such as quicker deaths and better food. For example, the French tend to overfeed their geese.

Not quite. Shark meat are served on human's diner too.

Whatever comparism is null and void. Clearly, sharks are endangered species, shouldn't be served on human's diner in any form, IMO. There's no excuse.

But shark meat isn't as marketable, so they do get dumped because they weigh more than they're worth, fishers would rather dump their bodies, and keep the space free for other marketable catches.

Folks, if someone insults, you please don't retaliate with an insult. Just ignore it and report it and the mods will take care of the rest. Thanks

    It'll serve as "evidence."

Back to the issue of the endangered sharks......it certainly is a problem. Though I do find it a bit unfair that sharks get all the attention. Our human activities as a whole has made more species go extinct than before, no?

This is where your medical doctor might have an issue with you.

Aside from certain specific species of food fish such as sardines, fish meat is generally considered less unhealthful for human consumption than beef, pork, or poultry (at least the fatty parts of poultry, such as dark meat and skin).

Most doctors recommend patients suffering from obesity or cardiovascular disease to replace fish for red meats in their diets.

Of course, there's always the vegetarian option, but not everybody wants to be vegetarian.

But Gugu, you still need your omega3! I guess the pills would work as well. In fact, they're kinda yummy to munch on.
