Yeah, that's why I said earlier, if they can't beat Slovakia (or NZ), they might as well go home now. I wonder if Lippi brought other players like Cassano or if Pirlo & Buffon were not injured & able to play, maybe Italy would've fared better.

Was Italy really that bad in Euro 2008? I totally missed that tournament. The only memorable Italy-Holland match for me is during Euro 2000 semifinal. Italy played with 10 men & had to played total defense under full attack from the Orange. They still tied & Italy won with penalty kicks.

Sorry, my brain & my hand was totally disconnected when I typed that post.

    Germany killed England 4-1

Their counterattack is super fast. England defense sucked!

And the referee is blind not to see Lampard's goal. FIFA should've allowed some sort of replay to help referee in the future.

Well-deserved win for the German team. Hopefully they can win again against Argentina/Mexico.

Germany and Argentina, who will you be supporting?

    I'm rooting for Germany.

    Deutschland, of course!
What can I say? I'm still standing! No weapon against me shall prosper! I am more than a conqueror!!!

Me too. Germany plays "tough" football while Argentina, like England and Brazil, often play "beautiful" football.

Well it's quite difficult for the ref's assistants to see if it did cross from where he was standing...can't fully blame him. And I hope they will win against Argentina as well.

Germany's been probably playing the most beautiful football so far in this tournament, have you seen their passing? England is just trash, they deserve to go home for playing so badly.

I agree. Germany has displayed the best football so far. It's gonna be a good matchup against Argentina.

What I meant is countries like Ger and Por play tough. Tough defence and quick counter-attack. Countries like England and Spain like to pass here and there and then pass to nowhere.

    Today's predictions:
    1. Para vs Jap: Jap wins
    2. Spain vs Por: Por wins.

Hahaha, I'm lucky I don't bet often now I would've lost my bet for England & Portugal already.

Germany vs Argentina : Germany wins.
I'm their newest fan since this World Cup

    Wow. Both wrong.
I did not watch the matches. I heard that Jap was unlucky? Spain plays better?

Spain was better, Portugal was far too defensive & couldn't feed Ronaldo the ball. Paraguay was more disciplined in penalty kicks, but I didn't see the entire match either.
