Default Sales Representative - what is it and how's pay?

Is this role paid by commission or an hourly wage? Is it situated in a store setting or is it door to door work? I'm a bit confused, because I have an interview soon for a sales rep role and I have no experience with selling products. I'm a bit frightened that the work is commission based which means it'll be more difficult for me to sell.

the main attractiveness about being a sales person is that you get to have a share of the pie (ie. commissions) and they are the key people to whether the company has any business. obviously you can't expect a salesperson to be sitting behind a desk and take on a laid-back role. if you ain't pro-active, then you don't get customers.

As for how one is paid, it depends on the company. Each company has their own scheme of how allowances, commissions and basic salary for their employee. But as it is, what motivation is there for a salesman to try to hit the top sales IF the pay is fixed?

It could jolly well happen that way, but I really doubt it. At least part of the income would fall under variable portion (eg. commissions)

in any case what kind of product/service is the company selling?
    o wilku mowa...♪

The only thing I need to know is that I don't know anything.
