Heard you guys got socked with a major winter storm this past weekend.

Even my Los Angeles Lakers barely escaped Jersey in time to play the Detroit Pistons in Motown the next day.

I'm an SG East Coaster. No, no experience to share as yet. When I get buried alive, I'll definitely tell.

I don't care to sit by the window on an airplane. If I can't control it, why look?

I got buried alive in Seattle, Washington, while visiting my uncles and cousins there during the winter of 1996. Had to dig my way out of the house. Fun.

Was certainly a new experience for me, who grew up in balmy Southern California and barely knew what snow was.

By snow? Ok, I was thinking of soil!

I can faintly visualise the fun of getting buried in the cold, cold snow bunch since I'm living in somewhere that doesn't snow at all (discount the man-made snow - too darn fake). I won't mind getting buried though!

Well, I did mention a winter storm.

It was pretty miserable. Water didn't work either because the pipes were frozen solid. Electricity went out for much of the day too.

I'm soooo glad I live in Southern California, earthquakes and wildfires be damned...

Not buried alive, but the metro system went down right after I got off, so I had to trudge back several miles through about two feet of snow (while it was snowing, in 20-30 mph wind conditions).

i saw ppl jogging on monday morning. dude, the cost of a treadmill isn't as much as the cost of treating hypothermia!

Dude! I thought you'd be some where across the other side of the Atlantic Ocean by this time of year. What are you still doing here?

My back hurts now after shoveling my driveway. I haven't even touched my sidewalk yet!

According to tv this morning, we have record 10 inches within 24 hrs (previous record was 3.5 inches).

Yeah, the snow here is freaking incredible, even worse than last time. Possible all-time record for the area.

Last time, it fell about 2 ft of snow, now I think it's about 3ft or some inches more of snow. The snow started Friday morning until Saturday afternoon or evening. Hopefully the snow plow trucks would come and move all the snow out because all the cars are covered deep in snow.

I ventured out to do some grocery shopping & lunch with friends. Highways & most streets are pretty much clear with no snow at all.

The street in front of my house is still covered with hard ice, pretty high too. But after I get to the main entrance/street on my housing complex, it was plowed already *not fair!*

First time my dog went outside, she was confused because she couldn't get to the yard. The perimeter of my yard is pretty much blocked with snow. So I made little patch for her. It's funny to see her there because she's shorter than the snow pile

We're supposed to get another 10-20 inches on Tuesday/Wednesay. SIGH.

On the plus side, federal govt agencies are shut down again, so I get another day off...I'd be more excited if I didn't have so much I need to do, argh...

They say later on today, we're getting 10 inches. Then tomorrow we're getting another 20 inches. That totals 30 inches added to the 24.1 inches we got during the weekend.

My car isn't going much of anywhere. I'm so bored of being inside, I'm going to go out and walk around to the stores nearby.

I'm so ready for SPRING! I like sun and rain weather than all this snow storm.
