Default Fur Year 2010 - New Year Resolution

What is your new year resolution? What is the ultimate goal you've been targetting to fulfill? Make a list now and you may come back to view it overtime.

    My ultimate goal:-

    - After completing my pre-degree (ends July 2010), heading for fulltime animation studies that'll last for 2 good years. A more all-rounded course that includes sculpting, hand-drawn style animation. Overall, it's pretty close to Fine Arts + Animation. I have planned it since last year so I hope everything can run according to my plan. I'm just glad students will get attachment during the 2nd year.

So, what about yours? You may also include your other minor resolutions, which I have mine too, and will be back with my list.

Nevermind if it's gonna be a major plan to rob the world's top bank.

Last but not least, Happy New Year 2010! =)

resolution? i dont have a habit of making them, but if you asked me, it would be working towards a closer relationship with God, our Heavenly Father.

It is a time I need to discover in what ways can I serve him more fully~

Did you guys even meet your resolution from last year?

    My 2009 resolution was
    1) Sleep 6 hours a day
    2) Brush my teeth
    3) Something- forgot about it already

    Result:
    1) Slept more than 6-8 hours on weekend, on weekdays slept around 4-5 hours, and at times even less about 1-2 hours.
    Resolution: FAIL
    2) I brush my teeth everyday except when i am working night time (never ever bring my toothbrush to work)
    Resolution: PASS
    3) Since i forgot what i was, i probably flunked as well.

I actually did some and screw up some. List as follows:-

    1) Escaped from the "Ice Chamber" - Yes! Finally! Working in this new company makes me understand better what a worthy (of your hardwork) boss is, and I felt more alive! The location and environment of my ex-workplace is crap too, I swear. Increment in that ex-company is a myth! I was naive enough to believe in that stingy boss, who pretended to be generous. And, there's more but I'd stop complaining.

    2) Take up the pre-degree while I'm working in this present company. To gain new experience while I get to study for knowledge and/or future use! - It's happening!

    3) Practice my animation if time permits - Well, time didn't permit and I don't have the $ for the software and new notebook. - flunked!

    4) Exercise more regularly - flunked: unexcusable excuse: too tired afterwork and classes.

    5) Travel to overseas - flunked: No $ in hand

I think it's more important to get the major stuff done.
What can I say? I'm still standing! No weapon against me shall prosper! I am more than a conqueror!!!

    I do Goals, not Resolution.

    Bench 1.25x BW
    Squat 2x BW
    Deadlift 2.5x BW

The rest are too personal to share.

    i don't believe in resolutions.
i'm more of the spontaneous type.. when i think it's time to start/change something, i'd just go right ahead and do it. a 'new year' to me does not necessarily mean a 'new start'
but one thing i would like to change is.. money management not that it's anything serious but, it would help if i was a bit more careful at certain times.... fml. and that's a lifelong skill i'd like to keep up, not just a 'new yr res'
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

    Hello everyone,
In 2010 What's your new year’s resolutions? Any goals you've set yourself or about personally as well e.g. stop smoking, stop eating as much chocolate etc. Mine like many people is to make a million bucks, I doubt it but you never know.Happy holidays to everyone here and hope 2010 (When it comes) is great to us all.

My resolution for 2010 is simple in writing, but tricky: do the right thing as often as possible; meaning whenever I know what the right choice is, then do it even if tough decision or sacrifices need to be made (within reason of course).

Increase vocal communication, reduce text communication. More real life practices, less online ones.

Eat better/healtier (including eating more fruits & veggies).
Less mean to people that I hate

My 2009 resolution was to eat healtier too --> I say it was somewhat successfull. I quit drinking sodas (very very rare), I had less fried stuff & I reduced my sugar intake. This year will concentrate more to eat more veggies & specially fruits.

To stop being lazy and procrastinating so much...
Respect other people's opinions and views. If we learn how to do that than all of these fights and arguments will not occur.

    Hi,
As such I don't believe in making official resolution, which is not because I don't want to set goals for myself, but those new years resolutions end up just being words. So I guess I made an "unofficial" resolution to prove my worth to myself and others by my actions because words are just words and they don't mean anything if not backed up.

Me too. Though it's strange how people don't see these two differently from each other as we do.

You can't stop procrastinating. You may procrastinate less, but to stop procrastination is futile. It's in our genes to procrastinate.
