    This news is plastered all over the major websites like Yahoo and local news channels. Even people who don't follow news would know this.

    It's pretty bad. They're talking about at least 100,000 dead and important infrastructure buildings such as hospitals and government offices are down.

    Haiti had enough problems even without the earthquake.
