Most of the prostitutes in ancient society were being forced into the profession, not by choice. In addition, we know the ill consequences of being a prostitute.

It's personal choice as I think cat is disgusting. I have nothing against people who eat cats. I have nothing against people who are boycotting dog meat, all exotic meats, or all meats either. There's no love involved at all when you advocates for the punishment of prostitutes who are victims of human trafficking and the like, and their crime is being a victim.
