how do i password protect a folder or file? i'm trying to protect some of my photoshop files from a friend that's going to use my computer for photoshopping. i don't want her to see my files until i see what she comes up with.

Can't you even make things easier and create a guest account on your computer login that have limited access?

Yes, creating another account with limited access would be my recommendation too. I did so when I shared my computer with my roommate.

Make an account on windows that's not a guest account and not an administrator acct.

Just zip the whole folder and protect it using password. Winzip or Winrar got the utility. Make sure you dont forget the password lol. Use "yunjae" so that you'll never forget or better "rosely" lol .

yes, as long as you remember the location of the root folder, otherwise the folder will just lost. It's there, but you just can't see it.

if you know the root folder just activate the "Show hidden files and folders" in windows explorer and you're in the root folder of the hidden folder.
