Yeah, I've never hated Yeung Hong at all. In fact, the dude is kind of cool in his own evil way.

The only thing I'd possibly hate Yeung Hong for is siring Yeung Gor, but other than that, I don't have much reason to hate the guy. I even sort of sympathize with the predicament he was in during LOCH.

well, let me know if your opinion of YH changes after you've read the trilogy translation. methinks you like YH because of miu kiu wai and not because of the character himself.

and people, PLEASE, let's not start ANOTHER i love/hate YG debate. sooo tiresome.

I don't particularly like Yeung Hong. I just have no reason to hate him. I do understand his predicament, however, so I don't quite want to condemn him for the stuff he does in LOCH.

As for Miu Kiu Wai: good actor...did some very good work during the 1980s, but not really a fan.

Ken - if its any consolation to you, I YG has moved down quite a bit on my like meter over the past couple years. Think it started with the 2006 adaptation but mostly it has been due to the forums. Cheers!

1. Obviously, I *hate* Yeung Gor, Little Dragon Girl, Lam Chiu Ying, Granny Sheun, and the entire Ancient Tomb Sect in general. It's telling that the one I hate the least among them is the evil one, Lee Mok Sau. Lee was about the only one I could stand.

8. I *hate* Sad Palms. Lamest martial art ever.

17. I don't quite *hate* the revenge plot in wuxia, but it is way overused.

I'll agree with these three.
