who's woman/women gives the best support in battle?

the different heros and greats have been compared and it's difficult to decide who is the best, as HYS said, half a pound and six ounces to one another. so what decides who will win, luck or lady luck. some of the heroes have survived because of their lovers aid, guo jing aided by huang rong, Zhang wuji aided by zhao min, yang guo fought alongside xiao longnu. linghu chong had ren yingying's help. the other greats had their wives and lovers too, xiao feng had ah zu, at least for a while. duan yu had his 'sisters/cousins early in the novel to pull him out of trouble. XuZhu had his maids and his princess. which of these ladies was the greatest help to her man?

is HR your pick. she might have had the best combo of wits and skills. but a few really cunning girls in the other stories.

WYY could be useful if DY isn't such a scrub, if we go by 2nd edition.

XLN is the best fighter and bees, but that's about it. It's hard to say whether she is more useful injured (full power sad palms) or fighting alongside YG. Prob HIS and L/R jaded is most fearsome.

Ah Zhu can change XF into someone else to escape. Or change herself into XF to get their attention, while an Ah Zhu looking XF can take out important foes who weren't expecting, LDA XL18Z from a frail looking girl.

Agreed! Out of all the protagonists, GJ gained the most with HR by his side. Without her, he wouldn't be as great as he is.

Linghu Chong would have died on multiple occasions without Ren YingYing. While he was sick she defended him and brought him to Shaolin at the expense of her own freedom. After he got better, she was kind of the logical side to his emotional attachments to the clearly sinister Yue Buqun.

I'm not sure if she's quite as useful as Huang Rong mainly because Guo Jing needed more guidance than Linghu Chong.
