Default Mysterious and other-worldly island organizations

An interesting little niche in wuxia seems to be the mysterious "island" organizations. They're kind of like semi-literal representations of other-worldly beings who operate outside of the general wulin population and whose members usually far outclass the norm in terms of martial arts.

How many different island organizations come to mind and which would you consider to be the strongest? Off the the top of my head I can recall ...

    Gallant Island
    Gong Jiu's Island

    傅紅雪冷道,“現在你臉上豈非已經戴上了個面具?”

Gu Long has lots of those,

with my limited knowledge of Gu Long,

in Hu Hu Ling, they have the Devil's Island and the Temple of the Creator

In Swordmen's Journal, they have the Devil's Island

I don't think those two devil's island are the same island, maybe

Yeah I wish JY had more of these besides in OTG. It could have worked in SPW I suppose, but the Sun Moon sect didn't quite give off the eerie mysterious feel that Gallant Island did.

I guess you could count Peach Blossom Island as well.

Was the Divine Dragon Sect from DOMD based on an island as well?

So the next question would be ...

Peach Blossom Island vs. Gallant Island vs. Gong Jiu's island ... who comes out victorious?

If we're going by Jin Yong's law of martial arts assessment, then may the strongest team win.

If we're going by Gu Long's law of martial arts assessment (which is Righteousness > non-righteousness), I'd say Gallant Island had the best of intentions, so they would win.

When I was young, I always thought White Camel Mountain (Ouyang Feng and Ouyang He) was part of some island since the 80s TVB version always showed them on a coast or boat but then I realized that "tou" mean camel so they were a desert people.

If the imagination follows common sense for that time, the South Sea Mystical Nun made up is a sign that the Nan Yang region also has powerful martial artist. Should be somewhere in Thailand or even Indonesia!

Actually, I think the most powerful island should be the mysterious island that all the Gu Long legends retire to. Imagine a team consisting of Shen Lang, Li Xunhuan, etc.! I think that team would probably be the undisputed most powerful organization.
