It is a excellent translation no doubt, and perhaps it would be done a lot quicker if he wasn't focused on attempting to multi task many different novels at once.
I mean seriously it seems 4-5 months per chapter translated.

You know, maybe multitasking different novels actually keep him interested in translating. It's like me reading 2-3 novels at the same time. Keeping things fresh.

Again. I reiterate. HYS is doing this for FREE (and so are other translators whose work u look down on). So, unless u pay him, don't demand.

Well I'm sorry too, Mr Huang, but my readers are much better than your joker reader.

    CaoziGirl,

To reinterate what others has said, to read a translation is a joy, especially since these works was done by other fans and readers who are working for free, and wanted to share the joy of wuxia literature with others who can't/wouldn't read the original work in chinese.

These translators, in many of these threads, has contributed a lot, in terms of their time and energy.

This forum community would/should not tolerate readers who are unable to understand these, and makes flame-bait responses to our translators.

I hope that you are able to enjoy the translations, and ask for nothing, demand for nothing - like what many of us are doing.

    Thank you.

    Default Translator love

I know we may have our favourite translators, but please do insult any of them. I am very thankful for their hard work. Praise them all you want, but it is very disrespectful to the others that sacrifice many hours of their time to say that others are rubbish. In order to see if a translation is 'rubbish' I believe you have to look at several main things: the authors intention and preserving the language/flow/meaning.
If you are so able to judge on these two things that you consider a translators work 'rubbish', please feel free to translate yourself so that we may experience your brilliance. One of the things that I love about this site is the way all the translators have respect and encourage one another, why cannot we, the readers, do the same?

    CaoziGirl:

I am unable to accept any apologies that ridicule my fellow translators. Such apologies are insincere, rude and disrespectful, to me, to my fellow translators as well as to yourself.

Since no one in this thread (as well as the Wuxia Translations forum, as a whole) is able to appreciate your type of humour and style of gross misinformation, please take them somewhere else.

i really do think that all of the translations are wonderful and many thanks to all the translators who spend so much time on the stories. It really is unfair make any demands or make jokes about the quality.

HYS and other translators, keep up the great work!!! As I have said before this site is absolutely wonderful for those of us who are Chinese illiterate.

Well, I think that if certain readers don't have the gratefulness and patience towards translators who post their hard work up here for free for your enjoyment, either learn Chinese so you can read it yourself or zipp up and wait!

Translators have their own lives you know, they have college, work and other commitments, they don't just exist to translate 24/7. (Or do you HYS? )
