But, didn't girls in olden days reach puberty later? I remember my mom once said that, because of the hormone laden food we eat today, kids now start puberty faster. The general age that puberty starts for girls is around 11 nowadays. Dunno, 13 still too young for me. The body only just started developing.

He also had very little respect for the Sect, and was innately a cruel, vicious, scheming evil monster. Think of Yun Zhongke, Ouyang Ke, Lu Jiangke, maybe even Tian Boguang on a bad day. He's like that. More like Ouyang Ke, actually, because he's actually good-looking and charming, but even Ouyang Ke could control himself when dealing with the daughter of the Peach Blossom Island Master. I think he really did care for Huang Rong, which places him above Shi Zhongyu, who basically cares for nobody other than himself (not even Ding Dang, I think).

So, Shi Zhong Yu is a person controlled by lust. Lust makes him unable to think clearly.

I'm beginning to like Shi Qing again. The man got his pride, but he's a pretty sensible person and parent. At least, he knew how bad his son was and tried to rectify it.

Thanks. I took Junny's advice and add my non-online "Learner's Chinese English Dictionary" to my list of helpers in my reading.

Actually, I still have a few words that I'm not sure of the exact meaning, but I can more or less guess the meaning and I'm in a hurry to get on with the story. So, haven't post it in the question thread yet?

Just like GJ, when we are saying that he is stupid, we are not criticising him, just giving a fair impression of him. And he is illiterate, yes? And so what if ur big brother? I respect you for that but that does not mean that you have the right to exert authority over all of us(and our opinions for that matter). Just because you are so anxious for the translation does not mean you have to be rude. I didn't say not to translate it, i just said that IMO it is not as good a story as others for translation.

Yup - I guessed wrongly again on the pinyin

The two Xuanming elders had different vices - one fancied women while the other (He Buyong?) fancied beer. I think it was Lu who fancied women...

True, it was Dingdang who was the schemer.. I was thinking how they tricked SPT into pretending to be the captive SZY being led to Snow Mountain for his trial... SZY was just a beneficiary while Ding Dang was the one who came up with the whole plan. He was cunning enough to keep that jewelry with him so he could butter up his mother (or any other woman) when needed, though.
