both ZBT and YG had faced trouble with the fishnet formation of loveless valley. ZBT escaped by throwing longbeard and ma guongzhu into the net. YG used his heavy sword to break the net. what about the other greats. how would they fare according to their individual strengths and skills? what about the greats of DGSD and HSDS.

Huang Yaoshi & Yideng: Finger Flick & Yang Finger are unaffected by the magnets.
Guo Jing, Ouyang Feng & Hong Qigong: Might be able to generate enough brute force to blow one side away with palm wind.
Golden Wheel Monk: After 16 years, definitely able to generate enough brute force for above.
Zhang Wuji: Qiankun the nets into each other.
Zhang Sanfeng: Could find it difficult.
Qiu Qianren: Dead meat.

the fishnet formation had a set of fishnets with daggers on the net that would cut you terrible if you touched it. ZBT did not try to directly go against the net, likely if you try to touch it, the net gets thrown on you. the greats with their weapons might still have problems.
o.k. say they were trapped in the hall and they had to go past the nets to escape. could they do it? there are no stones on the floor for HYS to pick up, unless he smashes some tiles.

how about from the other side. how would you capture a great. GJ caught OYF twice with strategies so it's possible to trap a great.

Strong enough palm wind can affect opponents from a distance. Yang Guo managed to subdue Xiaoxiang Zi and co without touching them, and he and Huang Yaoshi played volleyball with them using palm wind alone. And earlier, Yang Guo had used Divine Flicking Finger, or something of the sort, to propel the makeshift missiles thrown by Guo Xiang. So at reasonably close range, it doesn't need any additional missiles to deliver considerable force. Even in LOCH, IIRC Liang Ziweng or someone had his acupoint sealed from a distance by a grain of sand.
