Windows Live Mail vs Ms Outlook. Which one is better?

My boss just bought a new notebook with Windows 7 and asked me to setup up the notebook for him. I've set up everything except the email client.

My boss has been using Outlook Express as email client for a long time. Now that Windows 7 come bundle with IE8 and not IE6, there's no Outlook Express anymore.

The new email client introduced by Microsoft to replace Outlook Express in Windows 7 is Windows Live Mail. I also have the option to install MS Outlook for my boss.

So, my question is, which is more user friendly?

I also need to import all the mails from the old Outlook Express to the new email client.

I use Windows Live Mail and it's pretty awesome. I actually prefer it to the web-based client. It's very easy to setup and if your boss is used to Outlook Express, he'll have no problem with Live Mail. Since I'm not an Outlook power user, I can't compare features that are missing or unavailable on the free version. But just for checking/sending of emails, Live Mail is a great solution.

There's also a calendar and contact section... which I seldom use.
