    Fact: PJ's a little weird.
nytimes: Every hr you have 10 minutes where you’re not doing anything productive at work, & you can’t look at porn. So you make a comment & fulfill this desire to show yourself off as a smarty-pants.

The angler fish exhibits extreme sexual dimorphism. The big ugly ones that are caught on "Family Outing," are always female. That is because the male angler fish is only about the size on an adult thumb, while the female is much MUCH larger. The male angler fish's only purpose in life is to mate [sound familiar?].

The male will attach himself by biting into the body of the female. His mouth fuses with her skin, and the bloodstreams of the two fishes become connected. In this fashion, the male becomes completely dependent on the female for all nourishment. In time, he will eventually degenerate to the point of losing all senses and internal organs, except his testes. That's because his sole purpose in life to begin with was to mate, so now he has became a convenient source of sperm for when the female chooses to reproduce.

A male angler fish will have only one female in his life, but a female will sometimes have up to five or six males attached to her.

    LoL...so funny!

    Definitely more than "a little".

the main function of males is basically for mating =p same goes with praying mantis, spiders...etc...

now why are the human males so......hard to be rid of?

Both my dogs used to stare at me with their googly eyes to tell me that they loved me....oh how I miss Caramel and Amidala aka LaLa

FACT: Cats, on the other hand, will slowly blink their eyes at you to show affection. The slow blink has been exhibited in lions to domestic cats and is a sign of peace among felines. The next time your cat slowly blinks at you, return the favor; it's the equivalent of saying, "I love you," to your kitty.

My big blue tabby cat, Kev, used to do this all the time when he was alive.

    Default Random Facts

This is kind of a spinoff of the Random Thoughts threads.

State a random fact about yourself OR a random fact that you know i.e. any useless information that is a fact or something along those lines.

    I'll start.

Fact: Whenever I go anywhere, I like to pack last minute (on the day of the trip or late night before the trip.

Fact: In the US, there's a channel where a guy in an afro is famously seen painting landscape and stuff, for the people who know I'm talking about, his name is Bob Ross.

Darn it, Pem , you already started a thread like this. Well, I'll have to merge mine with yours. I totally forgot about your thread...but let's expand on the random facts choices to members posting something that could be about themselves.

Fact: The doctors said my stitches disolved, but there is a thread pointing out at 2 ends on my body.

    Fact:
Edit: I already posted a fact on choking people in this thread previously it seems. So another fact:
The human skull is very hard.
When getting punched in the face, aim to get hit on the point of the crown, above the forehead.
Sounds stupid and counter-intuitive but it's incorporated into the defensive posture of most striking arts.
They will break their knuckles on your head every time.
You'll feel a slight daze on the head.

Every minute, without your conscious thought, your brain tells your body to take in oxygen.

Does your brain cells actually tell your body or take oxygen? Or do the body cells just take oxygen by themselves? In any case, your brain cells are selfish a$$holes that horde all the oxygen anyways.

What used to be so rare that its value puts the purest gold to shame? The answer is the virus-fighter interferon, valued at one trillion dollars per oz.
