    Default UP: Michigan's Upper Peninsula

I am quite fascinated by this remote stretch of wild forests and shorelines. Here are some pictures:

wOw. The aerial view of the water and tree tops is most amazing and beautiful. When I see pics like these, I'd wish I was an outdoorsy person. Nature does not agree with me and I am disgusted by things like mud and wet leaves.

    But the picture is breathtaking.
    I like me.

I once did an excursion swinging through the canopy in Jamaica. The horizontal swing was a blast, you get a great view of the jungle and river, but it was not scary. Then they let us do a vertical "sudden drop", which was the most thrilling part.

OK, I finally got the pics we took in the UP. Particularly, we went to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Lake Superior, and I gotta tell y'all, this is one of the most stunning sceneries I've ever seen! The only regret is that I could not kayak there; it would have been a great experience.

Anyhoo, onto some pictures of PRNL. With miles sandstones forming picture-like patterns due to millions (?) of years of waves washing on the stone and the biggest of the Great Lakes well beyond horizon, it was quite magical, and the boat tour was an excellent way to see all of it.
