Actually I like how Strange Heroes scripted their romantic scenes. Strong enough to tell the viewers what was happening, and subtle enough that guys like me don't cringe lol.

But I wanna see the sequel more than Tian Zhi Hen. Taiwanese games tend to have depressing endings.

That's bcos this is just a different type of series.

Lovey dovey romance is more suitable for other series (e.g. LOCH, ROCH), but not for this one . The romance was a nice added touch to Strange Hero but not integral to the storyline. Whereas romance is central to LOCH & ROCH storylines.

Strange Hero will be broadcast again on 10 Feb 2011 (after the Chinese New Year holidays) on Jiangsu TV, Shanghai East TV, Yunnan TV. The second broadcast will show the full series with more comic book sequences - Xiao Xiao, looks like the edited out 5 episodes in the first broadcast were mostly comic book sequences. Don't think much of the story was sacrificed (compared to the badly mutilated TYZN).

Hmmmm...it doesn't really mention that they will broadcast all 35 episodes, but just more of the comic book sequences which the audience loves. I think they will still leave out the 10th unit. I do get the feeling they intend to make a sequel, just not this year.

^If they make a sequel, it could be a while until we get to see it. There's Bu Bu right now, which will be followed by Tian Zhi Hen, and there's still the Zhuge Liang movie. Probably 2013? They should just ditch Tian Zhi Hen!

Actually I wouldn't mind Tian Zhi Hen. I say ditch Zhuge Liang. Not a big fan of series where I can predict the ending, or where the hero dies, or both.
