even though i am looking forward to the series, i dont think that it can even come close to the young warriors. i mean, you really can't beat HG, YH, Eddie, AND Peter in a series together. it was like..pure magic

Hey thanks! That's a cool pic of LGX flying in the air...in the series, the moves are too fast for you to appreciate the flying.

After watching this series on TV, I must say something about LGX-SN relationship now that I have a much clearer understanding of the story. LGX-SN's relationship actually left me very satisfied, unlike the relationship in TYZN. The major difference is that SN is NOT needy at all and sooo independent, unlike LSS' previous characters (e.g. Long Kui being so needy for...err...her brother?). So even without the romantic chemistry, SN is fine and cool bcos she's her own person and totally doesn't need a man to make her "complete". Lovey dovey-type scenes will spoil SN's fundamental character and make her much less cool. I only wish she wore sexier booties though .

So sorry for catching up so late with the series, bcos unlike the rest of you, I have little patience for slow downloads.

Yep, I agree. I would also add that if it weren't for YH dropping out as the male lead, I don't think LSS will land the role of Ruoxi and have all these pressure. I mean, she herself rejected the role of Qiao Er for the same reason...cuz she's not ready for such a big role

Yeah, I felt so sorry for her when I heard the interview. Now I realise she looks serious in the BTS bcos the role is so heavy duty and she kept getting jittery thinking of the book's very large base of fans. If I'm not mistaken, the book has been read by over 100 million people - more than all New York Times bestsellers combined!

You're right xiaolong, it would be out of SN's character to have the mushy lovey-dovey(which I dislike by the way in any series) romance. As I was collecting their scenes in an attempt to make an MV of them, the more I watched the more I adore and got more engaged in their little romance, and came to the conclusion that less is more (don't know if this make sense...hehehe).

Someone on Tieba started a thread with screen caps showing the development of LGX/SN's relationship. You'd be surprised at how many little moments there are. Xiao Xiao caught a lot of them in her MV. (BTW, great job on your first MV, Xiao Xiao!) The thread is in Chinese, but you can still appreciate the screen caps even if you can't read the commentary.

Awwww, but I like mushy lovey dovey too! Lovey dovey can be very compelling and even legendary when the actor & actress have the right chemistry. But if not done well, lovey dovey can get super-annoying, e.g. in ROCH06, YG-XLN mushiness annoyed the hell out of me even though HXM & LYF are very good-looking. IMO, the series made HXM & LYF individually popular not couple popular. Evidence: how many HXM-LYF couple tributes can you find out there?

I did like LGX-RY lovey-doveyness which was very well done. But for SN who's a very independent character, lovey dovey's not suited for her, so LGX gave her the kind of companionship suited for her style.

Since Strange Hero was tailor-made for LSS, the character of SN probably gives you insight into what her real personality is like and what type of relationship she favours (remember the interview with Joy.cn where she insists she's more like "My Sassy Girl" rather than "gentle & soft" and can be very "sharp-tongued" )
