Need help with a really old series title...

It was made in the 80's or early 90's. I'm not sure if it's a chinese, singapore, thai, or whichever production. And I don't remember much about the series except that it had a flying car that can talk. It was a beetle type car with a happy face painted on the hood. Anyone know what I'm talking about? I tried asking my mother the other day and she looked at me like I was insane... haahha

Could it be the "Herbie" tv series (eg. Herbie the love bug)? There are other titles but I distinctly remember that Herbie was a vw beetle with a face on the front of the car fashioned from the car's components. The car also flew and could drive itself usually very fast. But I don't know if this movie was made for any other market than the USA. Sorry if this isn't what you're looking for.
