    Default 保健球 (healthcare balls?)

I'm talking about the 2 big and hard (often jade or metallic) balls that you rotate on your hands, often used by old Chinese folks.

Does it have an English translation? Is it really called "Healthcare balls" (which is what I found)

I am trying it for my hand now because my hand feels sore after using the computer mouse too much.

Maybe you need a bigger mouse?

How are they supposed to improve the cramps in your hand? Is the rotation akin to something like a massage? I know they come in different kinds of stone and some people who use them pick the ones that are most beneficial to their ailment and c"hi flow." I'm not quite sure but something like that.
    I like me.

They're called Baoding balls, though in all the shops I've been too, they're recognised as chinese exercise balls. I've got a set at home.

I figured these balls can have massaging and stretching effects on the hands. We'll see if I feel better after use.

Sadly, after using the balls on my hands, the muscle cramps have gotten WORSE. I wonder if it's temporary or if these balls are really bad for what I'm using it for.

My advice: Give your hands a break and they will get better.

It's probably okay for you to use the balls when your hands are okay, but you are using them when your hands are feeling uncomfortable. Do you think you will feel better if you exercise while being sick?

Have you looked online for how to use them? You're not supposed to muscle them around. But just guide them with with minimal movement. And they just fall around each other.
There's no thumb movement, and it's just a light curling and extension of the fingers.

Ah, that might be what I did wrong. I did rotate them rather forcefully. Mea Culpa!
