I would call it the century of both natural and man made disasters. So far, things doesn't look good all over the world. Earthquakes in China, Haiti, ect..., flood in Pakistan, China, ect... Oil spills in US and China, ect... It looks like the world is heading toward chaos.

Funny how you mentioned China for all three examples. Anyway, there's also GO Green, which I think most people are overdoing it.
