Default Did Kiu Fung arm himself during any part of the Tsui Yin Manor melee?

In DGSD '81, Kiu Fung (Bryan Leung) hijacked the sabre used by Yau Tan Tze's father and made good use of this weapon against the dozens of enemies he faced while trying to fight his way out of Tsui Yin Manor. In the novel, was Kiu Fung armed during any part of this melee, or did he fight it out with those dozens of foemen using just his Hong Lung 28 Palms?

He seized a number of weapons. Most notable is the You Brothers' shield. He also seized sabres and all that to actually start his killing frenzy.

Yeah even the mighty Qiao Feng is more dangerous with a weapon than without...I have no idea how Dugu's No Sword stage would work.
