Did Pau But Tung really dislike Deun Yu, or was it just his way of being friendly?

When Pau But Tung first met Deun Yu, Pau was quite rude to the youth. Then again, Pau is rude to pretty much everybody (except Mo Yung F'uk). With Pau, you have to win his respect (usually by outfighting him, like Kiu Fung did).

Did Pau But Tung really dislike Deun Yu and thus treat him rudely, or was being rude just Pau's perverse way of being "friendly?"

I don't think he liked him, considering he was so openly infatuated with his young master's fiancee.

And Duan Yu was bordering on being a stalker already. Bao was perfectly within his rights to be snappy and openly hostile. I'd expect any self-respecting bodyguard to be like that if they were protecting my daughter.
