Default DGSD Shaolin Heroes Conference: the greatest exhibition of elite martial arts ever?

When one reflects back on the Heroes Conference at Shaolin Temple during DGSD, one cannot help but be awed by the variety and magnitude of elite martial arts skills on exhibit in that one place during that one time. Consider what people who attended that conference that day witnessed:

    1. Hong Lung 28 Palms (Kiu Fung)
    2. 6 Mak Divine Swords (Deun Yu)
    3. Bak Ming Sun Gung (Hui Juk and Deun Yu)
    4. Life/Death Talisman (Hui Juk)
    5. Yik Gun Ging/Yoga (Yau Tan Tze)
    6. Mo Yung Family martial arts (Mo Yung Bok, Mo Yung F'uk)
    7. Shaolin 72 Techniques (Siu Yeun San and Mo Yung Bok)

...and backstage, unwitnessed by all but a few, the supreme skills of the Janitor Monk.

If you look at all other wuxia fiction, I don't think you'd see such an awesome exhibition of elite martial arts skills in one place, at one time to rival this one. Even the Mt. Hua Sword Tournaments pale in comparison. For people such as Divine Crocodile or Deun Jing Tsun, not elite martial artists themselves, just to bear witness to this incredible display of ability must have been the privilege of a lifetime.

Yik Gun Ging was no longer on display as it was written out in 3rd ed. But you can probably add 1 Yang Finger, XMSG and LBWB to the list of elite skills.

The earlier part of Janitor Monk's display was not witnessed by many but at the latter part, when he was preaching to the assembled Shaolin Monks, he did his One-Wave-Knock-Back of JMZ. Many must have seen that.

And prior to the main event, you can add to the list :

Flaming Blade Hand (JMZ), assorted 72 Ultimate Shaolin Skills.

And in the main event, add to your list:

    XYS's whip skills.

Xiao Yao assorted Skills (XZ vs DCQ), possibly including 6 Yang Palm and Plum Breaking Hand.

    DCQ's invisible thread capturing skill.

Decaying Corpse Poison and Chained Pearl Decaying Corpse Poison.

5 Tiger Gate Breaking Sabre, 6 Union Sabre etc etc (courtesy of MRF. Not part of his family skills you mentioned)

I think most of the gathered goons, with the exception of WYY, the senior Xuan monks and a few elites probably did not know WTF was going on. They all probably went home feeling very very very humbled.

Dugu Qiubai hanging out in his cave practicing his sword arts was the greatest exhibition of elite martial arts ever.

In that case, Sweeper Monk sweeping the floor in the library was probably an even greater display (if anybody could have understood it).

I'm certain everyone appreciates the thought of some hermit hanging out in a remote cave playing with his sword. *cough*
