Whenever I want any behind the scenes details, I go to 新还珠格格吧 贴吧。Google search that and it will lead you to the forum.

And this is also where I look for spoilers.

But, like I say, even if the user says he got this, this and this from a credible source on the production, just take it with a grain of salt cause that scene may get edited or I don't know..

Spoilers I can confirm for now is that we will be seeing the wedding scene. They filmed it for several days, I don't think they're going to cut that out. Yong Qi's wedding with Xing Rong. As a fan, I hope he runs away or something. Yong Qi, do something, be a man, do the right thing and run away from a woman you don't love.
I been there to look at the pics. I hope that this yong qi isn't like Leo ku's yong qi.And also that Xin rong is different from the Zhi hua. I read the plot and in the season three, yong qi will depart XYZ for three year so does this mean he left to wed Xin rong then ran away from the wedding. If xinrong is xyz competitor that mean she is also in love with yq. In a pics post by a fan she looks kinda sad. I don't want to jump to conclusion but seeing the pictures just makes me curious becus I saw xyz there also. Anyways, I hope they will explain it more clearly when it air.

I don't know whether it's like that. Because those fans were just guessing that Yong Qi left Xiao Yan Zi, honestly, now, only Season 1's synopsis has been released. So, in a way, we have all been misled. Don't know Season 2 and 3 yet. Remember we have all been misled. Do not believe what you read on Tieba until you see the same thing on Auntie Qiong Yao's blog. I have seen a set picture of Yong Qi in ceremonial wedding robes in one pic. And I have seen another pic of Xin Rong in ceremonial wedding dress but it's a picture of her alone...

WinteraV, I want to remind you to disregard anything you read. Unless it's in Qiong Yao's blog or in the New Huan Zhu Ge Ge facebook notes.
A while ago in Tieba, there were people claiming to have received spoilers from crew members and everything went wild. Then, we realised some of these people were just trying to raise havoc. How can you really prove that your spoiler is true?

Only believe it when you read it on Auntie Qiong Yao's blog or the other official websites such as the Facebook page.

I am so in love with her voice. She plays Qing Er.

    Thumbs up

Looking forward to this version. I never watched Huan Zhu Ge Ge before.

So the original HZGG was produced by China (mainland), cause I thought it was a Taiwan series?

And this new version is also produced by the same company right?

i would recommend that you definitely watch the original. it's so good! you could probably find it on youtube or something.

and i think the original was produced by a mainland company, although they used actors/crew from taiwan was well. ruby and alec were both taiwanese artists (i think). it was like a collaborational thing.

and i have no idea who's producing this; i thought it was hunan ? i dont know if hunan did the original one though...

For now, the only cast member that has made an impression on me is the actress who plays Qing Er. She has a sweetness and innocent look about her that will really work with the character she's given.

The male leads all look lost and unsure with their big ogling eyes and thin expressions xDD Hopefully, they have better on-screen presence than they do in pictures. Are most of the main leads making their debut with this series? They'd sure be under a LOT of pressure.

Actually, I found out that the original HZGG 1,2,3 and this new version of HZGG are all produced by mainland company under HunanTV.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll probably watch the old one after watching the new version

I love the new Qing'er, she's so cute! She kinda resembles Rebecca Wang too (who I love). ^_^ I think she's the only cast member I'm really happy with (the others I can't tell if I'll like them until I see them in action).

You need to watch the old version!!! It was so good (well, the first one...I didn't enjoy the second one much).

Hmm...some heavy weights enlisted for veteran roles.

I think I'm only going to watch this if there is a passably intelligent/credible plot. The originals had that 'lucky' magic/chemistry among the cast that is rare...so, so as to distract from a basically cliche plot and unrealistic dynamics. I'd love to see something as heavy as 'Ghost Husband', but, I don't think that's happening. GH was brilliant...almost a psychological thriller to me.

First trailer just released! Doesn't really reveal a whole lot, but looks cute. Li Sheng does seem to be channeling Vicky Zhao's performance a bit, but I like her. And this Yong Qi is much better, in my opinion. (Sorry, Alec Su! Maybe it's just that his head shape is better for the half-shaved style?)

    Anyways, here's the link:

Thanks for the trailer! My first impressions: (Well, all-in-all, I know there's no way this will live up to the original for me because that was such a classic. I'm trying to go into this with an open mind and lower expectations though.)

I agree, this XYZ is almost a carbon copy of Vicki's, but I don't mind. She's actually pretty good. This Yong Qi is certainly handsome enough and has that "princely" air about him...but I dunno, he lacks Alec's mischievousness and charm which made the character so likable. Even when he was angry Alec still made you want to laugh because he was so cute. XD Maybe I'm biased (because I LOVED Alec's 5th prince) but this one seems too serious. Er Kang is supposed to be the furrowed-brow serious guy; Yong Qi is supposed to be the light-hearted one. Maybe he will lighten up in his other scenes though? Qianlong is not bad although he looks kinda too young.

Zi Wei and Er Kang on the other hand...I was cringing during that scene. I realize it's pretty much word-for-word from the original, but it seems so incredibly cheesy. (Ok, so the dialogue kind of is. But the original cast made it work! I felt touched watching them instead of feeling second-hand embarrassment, as in here. And I wasn't even a huge fan of Ruby/Zhou Jie, they did a good job but paled in comparison to the other actors.) These two just don't do it for me, looks-wise or acting-wise. I still don't see the point of introducing the Ben character, he sticks out like a sore thumb.

Wish we saw more of Jin Suo, Qing Er, and Xiao Jian in the trailer--can't really judge how they are right now. (Ok, actually I don't care about Xiao Jian...he annoyed me so much. I do love Jin Suo and Qing Er though...possibly more than Zi Wei/XYZ, so I wanted to see how the new versions are.)

Yeah, I kind of fast forwarded through that scene. What I liked about the original is that both ZW and XYZ, even though they were as different in temperament as night and day, they both had a very strong, charismatic presence. In this trailer, it just looks like XYZ got all the personality and ZW is just kind of dull.

But I'm pretty optimistic overall. It looks fun! I like most of the images that are coming out. The facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/NewHuanZhuGeGe) has posted hundreds of them!

the new girl totally looks like zhao wei too, especially in that picture in the eunuch uniform.
i'll keep everything else i wanted to say to myself, since nothing will ever be able to even measure up against the original and i'll just end up offending people

I actually think she looks most like Vicki in that pic of her shot by the arrow. Looks shockingly like the original! O_o (YQ on the other hand...the 98 costume was so much better than this weird thing. Ok, I get that this is a more accurate "hunting" type costume but this series is not realistic anyways so they should just go with what looks good.)

Lol. Believe me, I had a hard time restraining myself from spewing out my full thoughts. My initial reaction to the trailer was ASKJDHKJAHSF. (Not in a good way.) I didn't post until I calmed down a bit. I'm trying to give it a fair shot and limit comparisons...although honestly watching the trailer and photos I just really want to do and rewatch the old HZGG again. Sigh...

I agree. This ZW is so bland. And she doesn't exactly have amazing looks to make up for it. Thanks for the lovely photos though, at least the series looks very bright and cute.
