Default What was Deun Yin Hing seeking when he went to the Heavenly Dragon Temple?

When Deun Yin Hing went to the Heavenly Dragon Temple the night that his son Deun Yu would be conceived, just what was the goal that he had in mind? Was he hoping that the monks would help him fight off his enemies, or was he looking to become a monk and leave his worldly troubles behind?

Protection. The monks there were the most powerful - not just in martial arts but political power - and were most likely to be impartial to both him and his rival wrt their claims to the throne of Dali.
