I want to clarify on some of the marriage rules as in who you can and can't marry back in Song/Yuan/Ming/Qing dynasties.
Eg. it's obviously unacceptable for master to marry disciple (XLN/YG)
What about these following situations? Were they acceptable or frowned upon?
Fellow disciples like Guo Jing & Huang Rong who were both disciples of Hong 7 Gong, or if Linghu Chong were to marry Yue Lingshan?
Mu Nianci whose god father is Yang Kang's father?
Counsins like if Zhang Wuji marries Yin Li?
I guess step-siblings are unacceptable based on Duan Yu's situation. After he found out who his real father is, DY's mum said to him that now he can marry either or all of Wang/Mu/Zhong. However she also said that even then it still may not be acceptable in Song because they share the same surname?? Firstly none of the 3 girls have the surname Duan. And secondly does that mean that 2 people who are entirely unrelated but happen to have the same surname should not marry eachother in Song?
And lastly sworn siblings eg if Yang Guo were to marry Cheng Ying or Lu Wushuang (which he won't of course...)
