    Duan is a popular surname in Dali. Did Central Plains have such a name too?

    Didn't Jin Yong revised that name in the 3rd edition? Which would be strange for a Duan to be working for the Jin Empire

    Duan Tiande was a Song officer, who just happened to be doing a side job for Wanyan Honglie.

    It is stated in DGSD that the Dali Duan royal family is descended from a Central Plains wulin figure (the inventor of Liu Mai Shen Jian).
