I have figured out something: I don't like explicit pursuits. A couple-to-be should be able to make each other happy without ever trying to pursue each other. This way it is more natural.

I foresee this thread to be filled with BS and crap people get from watching too much bad TV.
    Because I'm somewhere in between,
    My love and my agony.

Isn't Love something TV, Hollywood and the music industry invented to sell their products?

Or did men invent love to get laid? Hey, this thread is pretty insightful already.

As it's always the case, men invented everything, including Love.

Some men invented it to get laid once upon a time, then Woman took over and sold it as a fantasy to keep the rest of the men hooked, so that they'd become her slaves. Love is like the Riddle of the (female) Sphinx. Men who believe it exists are killed at Her feet. Men who know it doesn't exist get to go through.

Are we only talking about romantic love and relationships? In my life, they are not really so much a priority, yet, I think. I happen to be an expert in non-relationships in that case. It's the familial love and friendships as a form of love that I have the most problems with. ::

Now, I use the words "I love you" more though you must also mean it. Also, do not use it all the time.

I overused it in my younger days. Now it is reserved for the most special occasions.

While I appreciate my love interest's Guo Jing-like straightforwardness, and his GJ-like dim-wittedness can be cute, his Yang Tiexin-like brashness is less-than-helpful.

"The Social Network" is another movie exploring the theme that something big (in this case, the precursor to Facebook) was started because a guy missed a girl.

Q: Is chemistry (the romantic kind) supposed to be a mutual feeling? Can it exist if the attraction is one-sided? What IS chemistry, exactly? I mean, I think I know what it is, but I'm not too sure.

love is the most wonderful and beautiful thing in life.

    =)

of course there is love, it's a precious gift that cannot be bought but only be given freely.

in this materialistic world, it seemed too good to be true because it's free, but yet it seemed unattainable, because it cannot be bought.
