Hated characters that you like the most?!

Just noticed that I've never started any thread, so I created this one.

In descending order of personal preference, the characters hated by the majority of wuxia readers that I like are:

1. Zhen Zhibing/Yin Zhiping
2. Guo Fu
3. A'Zi
4. Ding Dang
5. Mie Jue
6. Zhou Zhiruo
7. Yue Lingshan

definitely ding ding dang dang, some of the others you mentioned leave a person with no reason to like them at all [zhibing], are stuck up idiots [ gou fu/yue lingshan] or really just annoying lol. ding dang on the otherhand at least treated shi potian good for awhile.

Zhou Zhiruo is my fav character from HSDS, easy choice.

And a vote for Guo Fu for chopping off Yang Guo's arm and leading him to become the cool Condor Hero he is. Also for kneeling down before YG at the end, a move which made him look that much cooler.

Some people hate her b/c she was too quick in accusing LHC of being the baddie even though they grew up together. Some others hate her b/c LHC always kind of turned into a wimp whenever he saw her. I did hate this girl at first but after having read the book a couple of times I only feel sorry for her.

Mmm, does Xiao Yuanshan and Murong Bo count? They're both one of my favourite characters and they were somewhat villains in DGSD.

Definitely Zhen Zhibing/Yin Zhiping.

This one is interesting because with L/ROCH Ed. 3, he's been split into two characters. In ROCH, if one hated Wan Tze Ping the rapist, then at least he/she could look back to Wan's more innocent days in LOCH and remember that Wan was once a hero and promising young Cheun Jen Sect disciple. Now that ROCH's Wan Tze Ping has become Yan Tze Bing, who had no heroic LOCH past to mitigate his conduct in ROCH, then our perspective of the character takes a more decisively negative turn.

I'll say Yang Kang for my first choice, and my second choice would be Guo Fu because she made ROCH so much more interesting.

I think Zhou Zhiruo is even more wicked cool, especially Kathy Chow's Zhou Zhiruo - she was both uber-hot and wicked cool! Which is what I always thought Zhiruo to be. Mei Chaofeng was sort of disfigured y'know.

I didn't think ZZR was wickedly cool when reading the novel. To me, she was just a scheming ambitious girl who got away with murder!
