Default Qing Shi Huang Fei 《倾世皇妃》 - Ruby Lin, Yan Kuan, Wallace Huo

Ruby Lin Xinru's maiden effort as a Producer will be Qing Shi Huang Fei (倾世皇妃). She will also take on the lead role in the series.

She just opened a Qing Shi Huang Fei wei bo at http://t.sina.com.cn/1866007050

No news on the cast yet, but it's said that Yan Kuan will take a significant role. The series will be set during the chaotic Five Kingdoms and Ten Dynasties period, so I wager that there will be a lot of battle scenes and hunky Generals here!

    Watch this space for updates!

xiaolong, did you mention that Ruby wanted to recruit Yuan Hong for this too? I hope she does and he agrees! That would be awesome to have many eye candies!! This series sounds good..

    Thanks for starting the thread

Qing Shi Huang Fei is adapted from a popular novel from which Ruby bought the rights. One fan described it as the "male version" of Mei Ren Xin Ji - but instead of women scheming against one another to curry favour with the emperor, here it's men scheming against one another on the battlefield for the sake of their countries. But it's also suppose to be a tragic story.

In the wei bo, Ruby says she's lining up a top-class male casting.
Confirmed (kind of) - Yan Kuan
Being arranged - Yuan Hong, in a supporting role though, as he's committed to a lead role in Tangren's Bu Bu Jing Xin which will be filming at the same time as this series
Rumoured - Lu Yi, Wallace Chung

Wow, I like this already. I rather watch male eye candy in this series than female eye candy in Mei Ren Tian Xia.

OMG, Yan Kuan? YaY~ I'm sick and tired of watching series that revolve around women...there are just way too many of them. Most of them by Yu Zheng too.

    Go Ruby ~

Hmmmm....could this be the reason why Yan Kuan was dropped from a meaty role in YZ's Mei Ren Tian Xia to a guest role?

Looks like YZ's series will have a tough competition next year. Ruby's Qing Shi Huang Fei and Karen's Bu Bu Jing Xin......

Just 2-3 weeks more before we know the entire official cast list.

These two are definitely in it. Much prefer men with a full head of hair rather than bald.
