Qing Shi Huang Fei 《倾世皇妃》 - Ruby Lin, Yan Kuan, Wallace Huo

Meng Qi You belongs to Hou Shu kingdom (后蜀) and Liu Lian Cheng belongs to Bei Han kingdom (北汉). Based on history, Hou Shu kingdom was based in present time Chengdu and had a stable society with fewer internal wars. It was relatively rich at that time.

On the other hand Bei Han kingdom was the only kingdom in the north (Taiyuan). Because of its location, it's people lived under hardship conditions.

A summary of QSHF I found from Baidu:

During the war times of the 5 Dynasties and 10 Warring States period, the Chu kingdom's princess Fuya allied with the abandoned prince Qiyou in an attempt to recover her kingdom after her family and kingdom were destroyed. Qiyou needed Fuya to claim his kingdom. Originally Fuya thought Qiyou only acted at his benefits but after several distress incidents, Fuya started to realize Qiyou was a tragic hero. From misunderstanding to understanding, they started to fall in love. But Fuya was caught in the brutal fights in the palace and couldn't help herself. To save his country, Qiyou took the lead in a war, but being betrayed, he lost the war and was caught by Laincheng. Fuya went to Bei Han to save Qiyou by promising to marry Liancheng. However, she came out clean and saved Qiyou. After returning to the Shu kingdom, she was framed to have an affair with Liancheng and was designed as having an abortion and put the blame on Qiyou. The two started to resent each other. Fuya's temperament changed and she started to stir things in the palace to revenge Qiyou. When the truth surfaced, Fuya realized the Chu kingdom was defeated. He loving dreams were broken and realized that it was a set up by Liancheng to get her. At the end, Qiyou and Liancheng died to protect her. After she completed her revenge, she jumped off the clip to follow Qiyou.

The story line is quite different from the novel. In the novel Liancheng didn't use Fuya at all and definitely not the set-up as mentioned. I guess they changed the story to make it more dramatic.
