An acquaintance has just passed away. 60+ yrs old.

    Life is at times unpredictable.

Life is frustrating for me these few days. Did not sleep well. I think I will just bear with it.

After pressing the "dislike" button in Pandora 20 times in a row, it was nice to finally get to a song that I like!

Spent 1.5 weeks performance-tuning a Java program. Now it no longer runs out of memory 2% of the way through the data crunching.

Mom wants to buy me a car that I don't really care for. However, since it's free...I can learn to care for it.

I'm reminded that prolonged uncertainty involving a loved one is pure torture.

Could the Cambodian flavor palate be any more different than the Chinese flavor palate?

Even *within* China, there's a great deal of variation. Guangdong and Szechuan cuisine, for example, are worlds apart.

I'd imagine so. I must confess to favoring anything spicy and salty without regard to nationality. Cambodian cuisine is traditionally savory but don't bet on finding this in the country. Everything is too sweet!

My fellow spcnetter, as one Chinese-American man to another: you haven't experienced variation until you've experienced the Cambodian anchovy.

Spicy isn't a big thing in Cambodian cuisine from what I've seen, but salt, OMG, the salt; my blood pressure is going up just thinking about it.

I've watched anchovies swimming around in a huge cylindrical tank at an aquarium, but I've never eaten an anchovy.

I've never met any egotistic 18 year old girl who loves to prove she knows how to do everything like this girl I know at work. She's way too overconfident about her capabilities, that she has a hard time accepting any kind of criticism (whether it be constructive criticism or not). She's too proud. She is also short tempered, and the attitude that she has is unacceptable and compromises the goal of the team. AIYA! She thinks because she has worked at Six Flags and has 10 or so siblings, she can do everything? Wake up, little girl! Somebody needs to put her in her place. I hate having to work with her. So annoying. She refuses to cooperate and work nicely as a team. I seriously want to put her in her place.

She has like a major chip on her back. Way too young to even understand human emotions. She thinks what she says could make me angry and mad. Sorry little girl, it takes much more to make me angry. I'm just trying to do my job and you're in big attitude is in the way.
