Try the following before sleep: (not all at the same time)
    - Massage chair (particularly shoulder and neck areas or lower back and calves depending on occupation)
    - Warm milk
    - Cherry juice or port wine
    - Soaking feet in warm water
    - Aromatherapy (candles, insence, bath oil)
    - Listening to music (lyrics or plain music depending on person's choice)

Alternate stuff you can try are: (usually to relieve stress levels)
    - Acupuncture
    - Hypnotherapy
    - Counselling
    - Meditation/Yoga
    - Sleeping alone (can be awaken by partner turning in bed)
    - Dimming bedroom lights

You can try one of those white noise generators instead of music (e.g. the sound of rain, surf or droning car/train sounds). Some of them also project soothing colors on the ceiling.

For a more alternative approach you can try binaural sounds where the sounds on the left are different than the right, and they're suppose to constructively interfere in your brain to induce a more relaxed mental state. I tried one for lucid dreaming once, and I did have a somewhat odd dream -couldn't stand wearing earbuds to sleep though so I haven't tried again.

Charon's Claw, The First Confessor, Theft of Swords, Hawk of May and Elminster Enraged so far. I would've read A Memory of Light too if that had been released on Kindle. Probably bought about 10 other books I haven't started on yet. Maybe I'll add Stormwind Archives or Mistborn to that list.

Also started reading comic books on it. The Eternals, Messiah Complex and House of M. I'll probably read Old Man Logan next.
Did you meant Stormlight Archives? Only The Way of Kings has been released in the series.

Yes, you're right it's Stormlight not Stormwind. I just had Tempest Stormwind stuck in my mind.

I just started reading The Half-Orcs by David Dalglish which reads like someone's DnD campaign chronicles. The first part was pretty dark with the eponymous brothers murdering folks (including children) left and right like some elaborate character background story before it devolves into a highly formulaic "random strangers form a party" setup complete childish intra-party dialog like you would see around a gaming table. It's essentially the expected train wreck but it's also quite nostalgic... almost it's like daring me to pick out RPG tropes cloaked in a "real" fantasy story.

Looks like I will be going to Minnesota for my new PhD program...hmm D.C. to Twin Cities...gonna be a change.

I been frequenting that Asianfanatics site---lots of traffic and dumb young ignorant virgins. On SP, there is just one person that regularly annoys me, but that AF...damn. Must be where all the cray crays congregate. I need to distance myself before I become too aggravated.
    I like me.

Coincidentally, the White Noise app for android/kindle was the free app of the day on Amazon today.

Telling boring stories to someone with insomnia can also help them. I know of someone who could definitely help...

The thing I'm most curious about is how did you figure they are virgins?!

It is very easy when some are obsessed with virginity, sex, malicious women, and pua tactics ::rolls eyes:: in the real world...in the real world...some of their worlds are so small...

I'm waiting for Highprince of War to be released. But it release date still haven't been announced yet. Maybe I'll find some Forgotten Realms books instead.
