I want to find a old video clip of a TVB anniversary where Leslie Cheung performed and pulled Roger Kwok out and called him his brother. I read that somewhere and wanted to see it for myself. Any one know the existence of that video clip please post the link to it.

You ought to see the upcoming new ROCH. I *almost* like the idea because this adaptation is going to completely RUIN ROCH (and nothing would make me happier)!

I'm beginning to believe what another member said about Jin Yong's decision to stop selling licenses to TVB to adapt his novels after HSDS '00 is true: it's not about TVB making a disaster of that series (which it was), as is often claimed, but it's about money. I think Jin Yong stopped selling the licenses to TVB not because he hated HSDS '00 so much (although he perhaps did), but because TVB was being cheap and not offering him a price he liked for the licenses. HSDS '00 was a travesty, but it wasn't any worse than these more recent adaptations from mainland China, etc., that are at least as bad, but for which Jin Yong did sell the licenses.

Coming from a not well-to-do family, money is very important. Earning money after graduating from University is possibly the best part of one's life.

Chinese people are quite sentimental, at least it comes through as such through their (non-native) English writing.

Yeah, I agree. I think it's more about money than anything. Adaptations from the Mainland are way worse than TVB ever was. Mainland serials are alot more draggy and fighters are more like superman and magicians than martial artists. It's sad that wuxia serials have been reduce to current level.

I don't plan on watching it, but I'm hoping it's as bad or worse than people say it is because it'll sink the protagonists' reputations forever, which would please me to no end.

I am getting old - I'd rather sleep early and wake up early to continue work than wake up late and sleep late.

Or conversely, I could be choosing to wake up early and sleep late to complete my work. Nah, its not that serious.
