Started a bunch of new hobbies: taking a class on big data analytics/cloud computing on EC2, memorized some hiragana/katakana (using Dr. Moku which has an excellent mnemonic system for basic kana ), and went to a shooting range for the second time.

Have to say that I'm beginning to feel like an old dog learning new tricks.

Yeah, I know. Expensive and very difficult to find -especially .22LR. I've been to several places only to be told that they haven't seen them for months. Prices probably have doubled or tripled over the last couple of years and demand has soared. It would probably make for a good investment except for the legality of storing large amounts of it, and selling it on the secondary market.

September 2013? I thought the last major event was Newtown (Dec 2012). Although the Boston shutdown after the marathon last year probably drove prices even higher.

Have you shot trap before? I've been thinking about giving that a try.

woah ur pretty good to be able to go trap shooting. i havent done it before, gotta tune up my skills lol. havent went to a shooting range in a while

I might be getting ahead of myself since I've never even fired a shotgun before

The thing is that the range I'm looking at doesn't allow you to shoot shot at targets (probably because shot shreds targets), so the only way I can try shooting shot is at trap.

I've also been looking at various youtube videos of people hitting themselves in the face with the butt of the shotgun -mostly while using a pistol grip so I'm a bit apprehensive about this.

I hate banks! They should just simply tell me why my transaction was denied so I can go and fix it up or use another route to transfer the money. Why do they to waste my time by asking me to retry, retry and retry and not give me a reason?

To FLEX or not to FLEX, that is the question. For whether tis nobler to have a tool-less removable stock for easy transport or resign myself to a full sized carrying bag, and in the end pay less?

I do miss the old days on this forum. There was a sense of community. These days I spend just as much time on another high traffic forum. Even after a year I don't feel like I really know anyone there. Then again, that's not a lot of time compared to the 10 years I have here

I currently watching The Legend of Hua Mu Lan and Dylan Kuo's appearance reminds me so much of Aaron Kwok in his role in Revelation of the Last Hero. I know I've found they look alike before..but really really do find them resembling each other a lot.

It is from Bank of China to HSBC via internet banking. The BOC internet banking form is really strange and different to what I am used to. But when I call about enquires, BOC tells me to call HSBC, and HSBC says they can't answer and I have to call BOC. The horrible thing is that the account was set up on HK so I cannot take any money out other than with TT unless I am in person in HK. So my money is stuck in HK.

I just had enough so I entered the most correct answer to my educated guess and sent $100 HK over to see fi it goes thru or not.

Thanks, anyway. If the $100 trial does not work, I will just have to see fi my local BOC brank can help me get my money out. Overall, not happy with BOC's internet banking.
