    Third chance... maybe..... hopefully?
First, it depends on the seriousness of the mistakes. If it results in someone being injured/killed, then there must not be a second chance.
Second, human beings are forgetful. Research has shown that with age, one is more forgetful. So, we may not have forgotten the similar earlier mistake made.

Interestingly, I have just come back from a 1.5-hour walk. Quite refreshing but feeling a it tired now.

This is how different religions should co-exist.

Egyptian Muslims protect Copts at church
Now Christians protect Muslims in Egypt

I guess it's also a case of 'one good turn deserves another'.

Although, it still hurts every now and then because I have no idea why you did that, but I'm walking away and out of it. I'm proud to say that I'm not as weak as you are. You couldn't and refused to get over that person, but I could get over you and what we had.

I don't hate you, but I just didn't like how you left me with no alternatives - I hate that!
What can I say? I'm still standing! No weapon against me shall prosper! I am more than a conqueror!!!

I don't care to sit by the window on an airplane. If I can't control it, why look?

Today, I received a job application with three different names. The name that came with the email address was completely different from the name that the applicant introduced herself with, and the name that the applicant signed off had a different spelling from the name she used in the introduction. She did not even use capital letters and punctuation in her cover letter, and her grammar left much to be desired. Sigh .....

If you received the above, what would you do?
    (1) Do you tell her (nicely/bluntly/etc) about the problems with her application in your rejection letter?
or (2) Do you just say "no, thank you"?
or (3) Do you ignore the application?
or (4) Do you have ideas other than the above?

Other info: There was no resume attached to the cover letter. The letter itself briefly mentioned her educational qualifications (the qualifications themselves are acceptable at face value) and work experience (in relevant positions, also acceptable at face value).

No, I won't paste the application here. It would be too embarrassing for her.

I guess she didn't expect to get hired at all. Just passing time.

Its (1) and I'll be blunt about it. If she really wanted the job, she should put in some effort. I thought resumes are pretty much the norms when applying for a job?

Option 1, but, tell her nicely or civilly.

But, it might be like Suet Seung said, she might be just passing time.

Another reason why she has 3 names is, she might have just changed her name and hasn't made it official. You know how chinese change their name for good fortune and ask friends and families to call them the new name but their official name remains the same.

Reading this kind of news make me sad.

Myanmar freelance journalist jailed for 13 years

Seems like journalist and new reporter are also hazardous jobs.

Yes, but it also depends which country you are working at. In some countries, it is not unusual for journalists to wind up dead (note: murdered).

Is it possible for two people to *naturally* disagree on *EVERYTHING*?

Has anyone ever hesitated with giving family(i.e. your parents) money because they're known to not know how to use money wisely? And may just spend it all in one place or on something not to their benefit?

Yes. But is it possible to disagree on everything and still be good friends?

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Not everything. And part of it could be due to miscommunication.

I know it's just an expression, but I hate when people say or write FML especially over something so small like spilling coffee on their favorite pair of pants or didn't comb their hair before getting out of the house.
