maybe not, I'm sure there will always be people who will watch a series/movie and search for more info online.

H7G just said in LOCH series, "The day you are born, you need to prepare for your death ... Everyone has his own path of life".

Random thought: Is it true that only older people (say >50 years old) think and say such things?

Sad at the moment. Started reading a story about a girl who was being raped by the step dad and the mom had no idea. It was very graphic and really broke my heart. Couldn't continue. Someone mention in reality the girl in the story was dead in real life which made it more depressing. Also listen to a speaker talk about her childhood being rape by her dad. It was so sad. She mentioned about the rape culture and how the victim gets blame. It's sad.

Has anyone read "Wuthering Heights" or "Jane Eyre" ??

Agree. Other sad incidents include those who kill others for no reason.

Agree, I just read a couple of incidents where people lure ppl out to kill them for no reason. It's so sad. I believe one incident was about someone pretending they were going to sell someone something and lured them to a desert place and killed them. Sad...

Very strange tonight, I was getting gas for the car and all of a sudden a boy no older than 20 comes out of nowhere. He said excuse me, kind of stares into my car, then ask if I have a dime. I said no since I only had my credit card on me, then he just kept saying your a good lady and take care multiple times before he walked way. Felt really bad if he really was homeless but he didn't appear homeless.

Once a boy approached me to sell me tissue papers. Normally it costs S$2. This day, I only have a $50 note and $1+ in coins. So I asked the boy to keep the coins (I do not need the tissue papers) saying that I only have a $50 note and some coins. He then asked whether I can give him the $50 note instead as he wanted to buy some games. I did not give it to him and kept quiet. He then walked away.

oh wow he asked you for $50.
My coworker said when someone ask him for money at a gas station, all he had was a $20 so he gave it to the man and the whole family said thank you and left.
He said last year, the man came up to him at the gas station and return the $20.

same here, $10 was the most i've ever given to a stranger. It's really sad also when you see old ladies begging for money and they have a child at home that is old enough to work... It's also not good when people pretend to be homeless and beg for money as a side job. Some people really need the money but others ruin it for everyone else.

I have heard people said don't give money, buy them food instead.

Yes. Because I have seen beggars taking the money to buy liquor/cigarettes.

There are many beggars here in Victoria. If they wanted, I have no doubt that they can work for a living. Some of them smoke while begging. I refuse to give money away like that. If society refuses to give them anything, they will move on to find a job and work for a living.

Have not eaten a burger for a long time. Maybe 3 months - is it considered long?
