    Default What language is this?

I recently listen to Edmond Leung's Lingering Game (纏綿遊戲)

At the beginning, there's a verse in a foreign language I do not recognise. Anyone can help me identify it?

    This is the verse:

Ich lie bedich So wie du mich am A bendund am mor gen

I wonder if there's a good reason for Asian artists initiating a song with foreign words.

The famous FIR song "Lydia" starts with a quote in Spanish that is roughly: "In the difficult moments, I know the most beautiful flower is for me." Lydia is a Greek god(dess?), so why pick a Spanish quote?

Nowadays, we don't even need a human translator to grasp the general meaning a one-liner like this. Put it at G-Translator in Detect Language and problem solved!.
What can I say? I'm still standing! No weapon against me shall prosper! I am more than a conqueror!!!

Maybe lyricist find this Spanish quote the most suitable? Or maybe he has a special fondness for this quote and want to put it in one of his songs?

As for the opening of 纏綿遊戲, the link I posted said that it's from a famous Beethoven piece call 'Ich liebe dich, so wie du mich'. I've check up the song. 纏綿遊戲 not only use its lyrics, but, also the score for that opening.

The German in the original quote has a lot of spelling mistakes, mostly because the spacing is off.

It should be "Ich liebe dich so wie du mich, am Abend und am Morgen."
    Because I'm somewhere in between,
    My love and my agony.

It's just 'cool' to have foreign words inside the song. =p back 10 years ago, many asian songs have english lines in their lyrics. but as English becomes common place, they shift to other foreign languages.

the same can be found in other non-english european songs. out of the blue they will insert english lines in it too.

The opposite also happens. There are english songs that use foreign language verse in its lyrics.
