I've grown to like and be familiar with Guo Zhen Ni even though she has tons of annoying roles haha. It's good to see her get a hot guy to herself who loves her. She does look quite mature, xiao long is right, and hopefully this will be a likable role.

I'm making an ongoing point that she didn't seem to do so on LOCH and possibly why she didn't in BBJX. Let's just make it clear my context is relevant to those two series alone.

I concede LSS can be quite goofy when she is: comfortable and free to do so, when the circumstances allow. I thought her rather shy in the early days though, that's why I'm inclined to view her as less goofy during LOCH (beside other factors). It seems like in BBJX, it's more the circumstances that hold back any carefree attitude.

I actually don't think LSS is 'bored, sad, or any of the kind' because of her role in BBJX. Any professional actor or actress - which I assume LSS is - makes the best out of any given role. If she was dissatisfied with going back to a 'vase-like' persona and showing it in her attitude anywhere onset (which I don't believe she is), she hasn't explored the depths of performance that would satisfy her as a person. Anyone watch the Jap anime 'Skip Beat'? Even an anime has brilliant insight on the values of creating the sterotypical role as an asset rather than a ruin.

Any professional actor or actress - which I assume LSS is - makes the best out of any given role.

I believe she's definitely very professional. I don't think Tian Ya is her kind of series at all but she worked hard on what she had and conducted herself very professionally at interviews.

She probably just misses Ma Tianyu in the BTS here. Who can blame her? Ooooh MTY!

Seriously, I would prefer YH forget the minor role here and be the male lead in Ruby's series. I wonder if he accepted it as a favor for Hu Ge?.....because I don't think he would really care to be in this series...

Well, Karen just revealed yesterday in reply to some fans' enquiries on her weibo that 13th Prince has 200 scenes, almost as much as 4th and 8th (both 200+ scenes each). So looks like they are fleshing out 13th Prince a lot (to differentiate from Gong?).

Also, she revealed she chased YH in Beijing for 6 months before he accepted Bu Bu. Then I should think his role in Bu Bu is pretty substantial and interesting for him to give up Qing Shi. Or it could be obligation to Tong Hua.

On second look, I think Kevin Cheng is definitely the best-looking actor in the bald Qing thing. Nicky looks like The Penguin (the ugliest villain in the Batman comics). Don't like Yuan Hong bald AT ALL.

Honestly I don't know if I'd watch this even for LSS. Don't dig political dramas, though would still rather see hot guys scheming against one another than Yu Zheng's (gag!) hen parties or (lame) Yu Zheng-copycat Tian Ya Zhi Nu. MUCH prefer to see LSS kick a**!!!

As NuDaFu says, I can positively imagine LSS wanting to wallop the princes on their heads rather than cry them out. Now I'm influenced (see how much power you have NuDaFu!) - I'm imagining LSS as Mu Guiying boiling inside Ruoxi!!! And chopping off 4th Prince/Nicky's ears?

Actually she will get close to 4th/Nicky when 8th/Kevin neglects her in favour of politics, but she will be dismayed at her inability to change 4th's eventual treachery against 8th and 14th. At the end of the series, she will try her best to change 8th's sad fate.

I'm most curious at how this TV adaptation will re-write 13th's role.
