But, I don't really know much about Nicky Wu or Kevin Cheng either...I don't remember having watched any of their series. What role is YH playing then? I guess one of the 13th/14th princes?? And are they really going to keep the princes that old in the TV version of BBJX? I know it'd be historically inaccurate but I'd rather watch younger princes.

Nicky Wu is 40 and Kevin Cheng is 41. So looks like Tangren is adhering more to history than "Gong".

There's going to be quite a bit of emphasis on brotherhood (like Young Warriors and LOCH2008). 4th and 14th Prince are born from the same mother. 13th Prince's real mother died young, so he was brought up by 4th/14th's mother. 4th and 14th are full-blooded brothers but they become sworn enemies. 13th and 14th grew up together like twins, but 13th chose to be loyal to 4th. So BBJX will be loaded with themes of brotherhood loyalty + betrayal. Much less emphasis on love and romance than "Gong".

Don't hold your breath on having Yuan Hong play a leading character here in terms of no. of scenes or romance. He's not in Tangren anymore.

I guess I'm kind of glad that YH is playing 13th prince who I really like--except, apparently he and 4th prince are the bad guys again?? Since Jade Palace is already making 4th prince the villain (which I'm disappointed about), I would've liked this one to do it opposite and have 4th/13th be the good guys. But, I get that this one is actually based on the novel which had it that way.

Still. I cannot get over this age thing. >_< And I thought YH was originally billed to be the main lead--now he's only a side character? Boo...he's honestly 100% the reason I am interested in this series! :P (Well, I guess I'm also sort of interested in how the new guy, Lin Gengxin is.)

Feng Shao seems to be a good actor. He did a good job as the overbearing duke in "Beauty Scheme"

Err...after watching him in MRXJ is half the reason I find him annoying. Lol. I know a lot of people really liked his character in there but I personally didn't find him appealing at all...

It's OK. Based on Yong Zheng Dynasty (http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Yong_Zheng_Wang_Chao), 13th has always been my favourite. Never liked 8th because he's just a puppet controlled by a bunch of self-serving mandarins. He supported 14th not bcos he believed in him but bcos of his own selfish personal vendetta against 4th. Whereas 13th supported 4th out of real brotherhood and conviction.

I know Bu Bu Jing Xin will attempt to present 8th as a good guy, but I won't be convinced. Dun respect men with no balls. And Kevin Cheng isn't even good-looking to begin with.

My hope is that with less scenes in Bu Bu Jing Xin, Yuan Hong will now have time to be with Ruby in her new series.

And with Karen is so determined to keep YH and LSS apart, I hope to see YH light up the screen even more with Ruby or Yang Mi one day. Better coupling anytime than Kevin Cheng-LSS.

Yes, 8th Prince is very married. His wife's role will be acted by Liu Yu Xin who was there at the press conference.

Tangren is billing Lin Gengxin as the new Hu Ge.

When it was confirmed that Kevin will be 8th (and too old to be YH's younger bro if YH was 4th), fans were hoping YH will be 14th who will eventually marry Ruo Xi. Well, with YH as 13th who won't even like Ruo Xi, it's obvious that Karen has gone all out to part YH and LSS permanently.

Of all the princes, 13th has the least scenes (since he's in jail half the time on behalf of his beloved 4th), so it's pretty obvious YH's been downgraded to a support character (like how most of his scenes were cut in Tian Ya Zhi Nu).

Now I really wish to see YH in Ruby's series. In fact, all the Baidu fans say that he should forget about BBJX and take on the male lead in Qing Shi Huang Fei. Ruby will definitely look MUCH more compatible with him than Guo Xiaoting.

I read on Baidu that he was trying to get out of it so that he can be in Ruby's series. That's why talk was rife a month ago that he won't be in BBJX.
